um, stessful. the fact that they're mostly studio classes makes it worse, i think, so i have time consuming projects all the time as opposed to actual homework day to day. i stayed up until 4:30 two nights ago to finish a 3D model and columbus was being a terror. for two hours he was running across the pieces i had cut out, running over the exacto knife blades i had, razors, hot glue gun, he was scattering all of the pieces, jumping at me while i was trying to make a smooth cut, biting my feet, my ankles, my legs, and all the foam core pieces, biting my models, and just being over all HORRIBLE for TWO HOURS. at like, 2 AM i was actually screaming at him in tears because i was so mad and frustrated and i have NO IDEA how i didn't wake my parents up, but i didn't. i ended up throwing him in their room to calm down then an hour later i walked to the bathroom and heard him meowing like crazy so i had to get him back out and he did it again for a long time before he finally fell asleep on the couch. i was furious with him, i thought if i picked him up i might end up giving him shaken baby syndrome.
other than things like that though, it's not awful.

columbus sounds like he can be quite the terror, im sorry that project was so stressful. but but at least you get to see your kitty -cries- oh poor me. haha yeah but these last few weeks have been seriously insane. most of my free time is taken up by studying. I had to give a 20 minute presentation comparing a short story and a play(a 50 page play btw. in spanish. in less than a week. not fun.)it was so nervewrecking, you know how i get with the whole speaking in front of people thing. but my profesor really liked it and i got an A on it so that is a big sigh of relief. i had my first chem exam, i studied more than ive ever studied before and it paid off because i got 100% on it. i practically went through the ceiling with happiness when i found out. what i really really really miss is being able to cook whenever i want. its KILLing me, im going to make an insane amount of food when i go home, my parents are going to think ive gone crazy... but anyway, yeah there are more things i'll have to tell you about when i see you over break, and i WILL be seeing you over break dear friend of mine.

if your parents don't think you're crazy already, i'd be very surprised. lol
that is really crazy though, that's a HUGE assignment for spanish! my speech class is WAY more lax than that. we've had 2 speeches so far, one being a 3 minute story about something funny that happened to us (aka, not a whole lot of preparing. i did mine on the day in chem when that kid lit his hand on fire, btw. haha) and then our second one was to read a children's story to the class for 3-5 minutes, which took NO preparing. the class is pathetic, really, but i'm not complaining!
the most work i've had is from studio classes. i've had to stay up two different nights practically all night to do a still life, and i've been working furiously on a stipple project for illustration for 6 weeks now, and it was supposed to be due today, but the teacher had mercy for us and gave us until next monday instead. and we just took our first test in art history, and i got it back a few minutes ago and got a 90% on it, and i'm thrilled, because i only studied the night before, and i was SURE i was going to get a 75% at best.
yes, when are you coming back down here? do i have to wait until christmas break to see you?
(oh, and fantastic job on your speech and chem test especially!!)

thats great that your speech class is so relaxed, i really hope i dont have to take one. i really want to see those projects that you've been working on, im sure they turned out fantastic . im coming home Nov. 16 or 17 for a week for thanksgiving so maybe i can see them then. btw great job on your art history test! i just took a math exam tonight, i think i did ok except for one question, because im pretty sure that i cant have a negative width for my box lol. do you have to take any math classes? Happy belated mole day!!( the number, not the small rodent) We got to have a fun day in chem on tuesday because of mole day, we tie-dyed our lab coats(i did mine red, orange, and yellow) and got to have cake. we have to take a year and a half worth of p.e. credits, so i started my volleyball class this week. its fun, but i broke a ton of the blood vessels in my forearms because of it, its painful and hilarious at the same time.

I do have to take a couple math classes, yeah, but they're super easy. supposedly, the last thing we learn in the geometry class is how to get the area of a triangle and such. sad, right? Really. REALLY. sad.
really? that's awesome! sounds much better than the plain white coats, huh? we did not celebrate mole day..haha, too bad. on halloween we everyone comes to school all dressed up, and i'm gonna be catwoman with my friends being batgirl, poison ivy, and harley quinn. I'm really excited!
HAHA I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THAT. we don't even have any such thing as sports at kendall. we have table tennis in the basement...? haha

wow that is kind of sad...i am not looking forward to all the math classes i am going to have to take. we're registering for next semester's classes next week, and i think im going to end up having to take 16-18 credits, which means i will be having no social life(like i have one in the first place) or sleep, which i'm becoming quite fond of.
as for the lab coat, i put a picture up on facebook, so you can see it if you're willing to venture into the black hole known as social media. also this weekend me and kyle and tim went to bond falls, it was so awesome it didnt matter that it was freezing cold. i will be putting pictures of it up here soon. it was sad though cuz my camera battery died earlier than expected. it was kind of crazy too, we were walking back and there were two deer about 20 yards away from us. i told my dad and of course his response was "did you get a shot at them?" and i was like *facepalm* "...no dad". and i also saw a bald eagle...he was cool. fun fun day.
your halloween sounded quite interesting, i bet it was fun to see all the crazy costumes and stuffs. i hope you took some pictures of you guys all decked out in your costumes, cuz it sounds like it would be awesome to see. its like, walking down the hallway, all of a sudden BAM! a bunch of badass comic book chicas appear out of nowhere lolol dont you miss my weirdness?
but volleyball is so much funn! even with all the bruises and such.

16-18 CREDITS? you're insane, woman! although i'm taking 15 now, and next semester..i just can't imagine more than that, you'll die! or maybe i'm just judging from my standards, i don't know, but that would be equivalent to 4 studio classes and a gen-ed here, and NO ONE does that. that is impossible.

Haha no I meant I am growing fond of sleeping, even more than I already am. Naps are like heaven on earth around here. It sounds like you need more sleep though...2 hours?? That is awful.

I just found out today I'm going to be taking 18 credits next semester, my 3 hour chem lab, chem recitation, calc 1plus w/ technology, physics lab, physics lecture, world cultures lab, and either a perspectives class or a Spanish class. And even after that I'm still technically a little behind schedule so I might end up taking a couple physics classes at grcc this summer.

And about that...um...it's kinda complicated to talk about here so I will talk to you when I'm home over break. speaking of which I was thinking I kinda want to visit the high school just to see all our old teachers and stuff and it would be so much more fun if you came with me

i didn't know you guys started that late...i'm sure you'll do good though, you always seem to get everything done just fine.
my classes seem like they'll be LOADS of work, too. lots of reading and memorizing for art history, illustration should be fine because it's tons to do but we have all of class to work on it i think (we're working on a REALLY detailed stippling project right away and it'll take 6 weeks..haha), drawing II...well, that's just a lot of work in and out of class that will take forever because i take a long time to render things..lol. um. oral rhetoric should be manageable, but unenjoyable and stressful because...i mean, come on. it's a speech class. finally, 3d design should be....interesting. i'm not too great at abstract art, or sculpture, and that's what it's all about..fnisabjafhgadglabhdgka. but not much homework if you work in class the entire time.
all in all my teachers are all really cool and funny! and i know a lot of people, there's only one class i have that i don't know someone, but i really don't mind. all in all it'll be stressful but i don't think it'll be so bad if i don't procrastinate.

No procrastionation allowed! yeah pretty soon we will have snow up to our ears, that should be fun. everyone on faculty here keeps stressing to us how hard our classes are going to be and how much we are going to have to study outside of the classroom. the reccommended amount is 3 hours spent studying for every hour of class. I have two studio labs and a lecture for chem, orientation, volleyball(we have 3 required p.e. credits), precalc again, only it's everything we learned last year crammed into 1 semester, and level 2 spanish for special purposes. i might just be coming home as puddle in a bucket. you have to make sure to keep posting things on here so i can see them. im glad you like your teachers and you found people you get along with. i get along great with my roommate, and i've met a couple other people who are nice, but...anyway. from what i've heard, my studio lab prof is awesome, i know he's from england, he grows food in his office, and he's taken up figure skating.

My roommate's name is Morgan. She's really nice and just a normal person, which is good. She doesn't play sports, but she does play the flute. Clean, respectful, all good qualities. So are you glad that you don't have to deal with the stress of finding a good roommate, or do you wish that you were living on campus? By the way, are you guys still going to be moving this fall?

I kind of wish i were living on my own, but it's nice not to have to worry about all that stuff, i just have to drive myself and do my work, no worrying about providing everything for myself other than that.

there's been a lot of debating whether we can afford it or not, but i think a couple days ago my parents decided we were going to move for sure.

I had to take a preliminary test for precalc to see what we already knew... i did horribly. like, laughably bad. the funny/ironic part is that i know that i used to be able to do all of the problems they gave me, i just forgot how to do them.
