# About me
I am a geek-to-be, crazy about GNU/Linux, Metal music and Calculus. I study at the Evanjelicke Lyceum, a bilingual high school in Slovakia and I am proud of it! The second most dangerous thing I've ever heard about is a chicken with the root password, right after me with the root password. The language of the day is in my opinion C, and Python is the language of the next day. Just now my classmate told me that there is a man in my city who is 2.47m tall. That is, almost one meter taller than me. WHAT??? XD
Personal Quote: Hand over the calculator, friends don't let friends derive drunk.

yeah, games are the only problem with linux like, there are linux games, even some good ones, but there's not that many of them... but despite that, linux is well worth trying! (and especially when you have that.... thing starting with V... ewww
)

Hey, sorry for not answering, I've been (and still am) awfully busy... I'd recommend Linux Mint, it's very user-friendly, stuff "just works" most of the time, and the community is great I have been using Mint for quite a while, and have been enjoying it all the time
really, well worth trying! and if you ever need help, I'm way too enthusiastic about helping out people trying Linux

there are the default programs and they are pretty good, but with mint you have choice there's plenty of wonderful stuff directly in the repositories, which is very convenient. what i like about mint is that it is ready to use immediately after install (I did not have to install a single driver, even my tablet works perfectly out of the box), and contains lots of fairly good apps from the beginning. For me the main thing is a text editor, and then a music player (with main edition I tried a few, with Xfce the default Exaile is perfect) and a web browser (Firefox by default, but Chromium and Opera in the repositories). The "system stuff" (settings manager, stuff sitting in the tray - network manager, power manager etc.) are all above average, and like I said, you have choice
I'd say that mint is an os that neither limits you (like windows), nor is unusable unless you are a geek. And mint also looks good, and the possibilities for personalization are infinite
