The Warmth of Summer (Levi Ackerman x Reader)
The first time you met him was under a cold, tenebrous summer night of luminous stars. It was much too cold to be summer.
Perhaps it was due to the lingering feeling of dread buried deep inside the hearts of the residents of what had once been the city of Shiganshina. Perchance, it could have been the rising fear of the titans that they had been protected from for a hundred years.
Regardless, the silent air was disrupted by an anguished cry for the opening of the gates of Wall Rose. Soon after, the deafening noise of thousands of hooves resounded through the air. The people who had been roaming the streets at the late hour dove out of the way for the returning Survey Corps, who seemed to be desperately retreating from their additional failed expedition outside the walls.

Bakugou Katsuki hated Midoriya Izuku. He hated being in the same class as a quirkless, powerless nobody. He hated seeing him trying so hard for something he could never achieve. He hated Deku for sharing the same goal as him: to graduate from U.A. high school as the number one hero. He hated him and every other desperate quirkless idiot with all his heart.

Bakugou listened again. Midoriya (First Name) was your name. Then that meant that you had to be that loser’s sister.
What was this? You were quirkless, too?
Bakugou scoffed.
Like sister like brother.
You turned at the sound of his scoff, looking right at him. Bakugou sneered back at your curious stare. If it was Deku, he would have flinched and turned away.
But not you.
You studied him for a moment, your observant eyes seeming to take in every inch of him. Then, you raised a hand in greeting and smiled at him, genuine kindness radiant

“Have you been waiting long?” Ayato asked, placing a hand gently on your head.
“No” you said, placing your hand on top of his and lowering it to your cheek. You leaned your face against his hand and looked up at him affectionately. “I would wait for you forever, Ayato-kun.”
Ayato laughed, taking your hand. “I know, idiot. That’s why I can’t keep you waiting.”

A crashing sound echoed throughout the empty air. You whipped around.
