Yeah, i started using lip balm when i got a cold and had my lips very dry and since then, every time i try to stop using it i get even drier lips and i can't stand that.

Ah! There's a simple way to tell when lip balm takes over - by the use of "i". The lip balm uses capital "I", while i do not (as you can see)

Nope, it kinda backs down on its own. Lip balm is very passionate about sci-fi and fantasy and it tends to take control whenever that comes into a conversation.

My best friend once tried to convince me to watch the first part of The Maze Runner and it went awful. I just started mocking the story, the actors and she got so angry that she gave up after about 30 minutes and we didn't watch it

I hated when that happened to me, my ex was just like you, except he didn't like anything hero related either. I dig this type of stories and yes, I see how they seem similar to the untrained eye, but there's more to them that you can figure out in 30 mins. Honestly, speaking of books, I thought the Divergent series was the worst I read so far from this genre, it was such a simple writing style that even a 10 year old would understand. I mean, I had no hopes it would be as good as ASOIAF, but... Anyways, I finished reading them. It was such a breeze that I finished the 3 books in just 2 days.
The morale of the story though, same as in The Maze Runner and Hunger Games, is that there's always a twist. I enjoyed reading through all those stories.

I get what you're saying and perhaps my point of view wasn't totally objective. I haven't read the books and I never will so I'll never be able to form an educated opinion on the matter but at the same time, a person watching the movies shouldn't have to read the books before watching a movie to understand what is going on, nor should the directors expect people to sit through a movie half bored to death just waiting for something to happen, especially when the story he/she is telling looks so much like two other series which were released in the same 5 year period

It depends on how open minded you are. Movies need a build up, especially if haven't read the books. You can't expect the plot to blow up right from the beginning otherwise it would be utter shit. Well, it depends on the type of movie too, but now I'm talking about these. They throw at you small clues here and there to make you start piecing together the puzzle//keep you guessing before they actually tell you what's up, but if you already made up your mind about not liking it, then no matter how good or bad it is, you still won't like it.
