*sighs* Schrodinger's Cat is a thought experiment by the scientist Erwin Schrodinger that attempts to show a hole in the theory of quantum mechanics.
If you put a cat in a steel chamber along with a radioactive substance in a container, said substance being small enough that in one hour only one atom decays, but with equal chance, none, of which the cat cannot interfere with in any way.
If the one atom decays, a hammer will fall and break open the substance, poisoning the cat and effectively killing it in a short timespan. If the atom has not decayed, the substance will remain in it's casing and the cat will continue to live. The function in relation to the quantum theory shows the Psi function for the entire system and the result either being a living cat or a dead cat.
However, here comes the flaw in the quantum theory. In order to see what would happen to the cat, it would have to be seen with direct observation, which cannot be done through the steel casing. This would alter the experiment and make it null and void. One would have to wonder: Was the cat taken out early? Too late? Would another hour bring proper results? Would another experiment with the same or a different cat bring different results? "There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks."
In short: the act of observing affects the observed.
In reference to your comment, you say I am responsible for everything. Would that mean you were observing everything I've done and know for a fact that I've done those things? Or that because you were actually observing me, I acted that way on purpose? In the case that you left me to my devices - I would have done nothing? Would I have done the same? Furthermore, you bring the topic up in a negative sense. If I am responsible for everything, I also am the reason for the good things in your life. Or if nothing, I had nothing to do with your happiness. Or am I merely responsible for the bad situations in your life? In that retrospect, I'm not responsible for anything.

I love stalkers and people who hate me. I've always had a relatively twisted view on life, it makes me more cuddly. And bad reputation my foot, as long as, say, 50 or more aren't breathing over my shoulder at one time. I can tolerate them in doses of 25-30. Anything higher and I hide under the couch.
