ugh that's the worst, I've heard some real horror stories about stealing over the last few weeks that make me just specious to put stuff up on here. Pinterest sounds fun, and so does tumblr, but I never find as much time as I'd like to to get into those things...

they really should. You gotta work hard to protect your intellectual/creative property.

hahaha, hope you find work. I've been my usual self, doing the same ol same ol... I've been pretty lazy when it comes to dA myself. there isn't much to do here other than +watch post, and hope people watch back...

I hate Tumblr - they don't enforce a copyright policy and I believe thats an enormous source of the theft going on.. the users post images and do not credit the TRUE source, they source via another tumblr - and you could spend a lifetime trying to find out who did something.

pinterest has a TOS policy that users are supposed to pay attention to WHERE they pin from (but who listens?) No one ever seems to care about who made it, who took the photo, where can i see the rest of their work?) I want to see it all .. but anyway-

On my blog, I posted about how to source an image on Google - it's TOO easy. I put up screen shots too - [link]

Once you see how to do it - (it's enormously helpful) you can also see everywhere your images are - and I mean EVERYWHERE. I found my Music Paintings on a site in Russia - they critiqued it all (I had to use Google translator lol) They referred to me as a man and said ... in the "Music Gives You Wings" painting (the one i got the DA for .. ) that why was I painting a man on a flower (lol) I used Google translator to leave them a message (in Russian) (hope it said what I meant for it too hahaha)

I think I got another job today *crossing fingers* but she gave me a deposit *a good sign* so I'm saying thank you Lord Almighty a lot tonight lol.

My suggestion about the image thing - (I went and did it on all of my images on my site but not here) PUT YOUR NAME ON IT - and at least large enough so they can see it AND not photoshop it off. That's a big problem I've noticed. We sign them (if at all) with initials and scripty writing, but it's hard to understand what it says a lot of the time. So Photoshop it typed - at the bottom or something.

I've been trying to remember to check in here - I adore deviants and am out with my sword fighting for their honor lol. I source constantly and leave notes on people's pins and stuff *they can't delete* - whenever I can. I know right away when I see some good art someone hasn't bothered to source, that chances are, they have an account HERE.

I spoke with a dev member the other night - asking her about an image that's everywhere and I believed it was hers and lo and behold, I was right. But she had taken it down from her gallery here (she said she thought people didn't like it) It's in like 3000 places! I wanted to give her credit and a link to her Dev page. (I'm hoping she puts it back up, I can't stand seeing so many people use the work and not link to the artist) (even worse when I see someone put them on their sites and code it so you can't "save as" - when it isn't theirs! (lol) Like WTH - Or worse - write on them. ( i see that occasionally too)

Check out the blog post and try that on any image and see what I mean - it's eye opening.

I think it's awesome when you see someone's work, and can visibly see the one moment in one piece of work, when they learned something new and the work takes a step up.

There's always something new to learn and it makes me happy that I was able to help.
