No, sadly, we missed the snow by a week or two. It's breezy, clear skies, and about 30 degrees so we love it, but alas, no snow. *sigh*
I plan to delve heavily into photography as soon as paychecks start comin' in and I can grab a camera. The one I've been using was my father's. I'm thinkin' to get a Rebel like you've got. Need to get some lenses and a tripod as well. Any advice?

You should definitely get yourself a camera. I'd personally recommend going with a Rebel first before anything bigger! Lenses is where it's at

There's a few Rebel's out there. Is one significantly better then the other or just get whichever?
Umm, a little macro, a bit of landscape stuff, some industrial shots here and there. In other words, I dunno, everything for now til I find a niche... lol

Well the latest is the 550D AKA Rebel T2i. I have the 450D and do just fine with that. If money's not an issue then by all means just go with the latest, but if you'd like to save a little bit, maybe put a bit of cash towards another lens, then go for something like the 500D / T1i
