I have been a lot of things. Right now I'm feeling on the on hand rested from my summer break and on the other anxious for my next year of uni. And I don't mean anxious in an eager kind of way.

Yes, I spent three weeks in France, with my parents. Very relaxing. And my cat died.

So we now need to find a way hold on to our rested feeling and not fall (back) into something stressed. That's what I'm dreading. The fact that in spite of my intentions I will get behind on my work a few weeks into the new college year and keep that way for the rest of it.

Aw I'm sorry to hear that.

I really hope not.

My was great, I went out a lot with friends, was by the pool and went to some barbeques. Tried to enjoy the warmth before fall comes. I also hiked and jogged a lot.

Worrying about it doesn't make it less likely to happen. I'd better just do my best, that's all I can do, right?

Your summer sounds nice. What do you think would be the day or moment you will think back to when you think of this summer in, say, a year? Such periods of time often become heaped into one blurred event, but sometimes there's a distinct moment you will remember clearly. Any such moments occured? Or can't you determine that yet?

That's very true!

That's an extremely interesting thought. I would say it was getting to know one individual over a couple of months (April-July), but now they recently moved away. A very unique individual, would be hard to forget them.

That's nice. Too bad they moved away.

I should have expected the return question. Hmm, well, I'll probably remember the summer of 2014 as the summer in which our cat died. She was 14 years old. She's been with us for over half my life. Not having her around will take some getting used to. Of our trip I will most likely remember the many occasions of drinking coffee in French cafés. Oh, and there was one particularly beautiful beach I'm not going to forget either.

It wasn't the coffee itself per se (delicious as it was), but more the atmosphere of the activity I repeatedly enjoyed.

I don't know the name of the beach itself, but it was the pretty beach on the other side of the light house in a place called Barneville-Carteret.

That's kinda depressing. But, activity does vary from person to person.

We did have a lot of fun, you, Zing and I. Such a blast. It's in July, I'm pretty sure. There hasn't been an official announcement from the peeps who organize it, but there should be one pretty soon.

I've been doing good. Got a semester of college under my belt. Had to come home to work, though. Just trying to find a job right now. Stressful.

Yeah, it's pretty far away from home. Cause you're from Russia, right? I would find that scary, too, but on the other hand... Studying abroad is pretty cool, too. Maybe just for half a year or something.

Mmm....i work hard and then take a week away. Plus we have many holidays and celebrations here, so it's not even a proper "week away".) It's like week minus Sat., Sun., Tue (i'm not studying on tuesdays) minus random holiday(or two!) = et voilà! You miss only one or two days of classes! Just need to find such weeks with many leisure days.
