well there's a few things that I'm not sure how to explain but you know the select is there a way to quickly select an area and not have the color go inside (more then it should) or outside cause every time I select it goes outside the lines and I have to go all around the edge is there any way around that?

Maybe you need to click the inverse button on the settings panel when you click on the selection tool
it should swap it between going on the outside and being on the inside when you click it .

but if your just trying to select your line drawing , it might be best to select it by hand instead of using the autoselect ..
Either that or paint inside your lines with white , then use the select tool to select the white paint and not the lines ..
that should help you get on the inside of your line art i think ..
