I'm very happy that you love the fog shots and to be completely honest, those pictures are my most favorite shots as well. It made the trip to this historic ruin that much more memorable and mysterious at the same time. :) (Smile)

Is it often foggy around where you're at? Its not foggy here very often so pictures like that are very few and far between. It also doesn't help that I work 5 days out of the week so I don't have the chance to get out in the fog very often.

I would love to explore woods like that with real dense fog. I don't get to do that much because there's not many dense forests close to where I live anymore. The trail pictures in my gallery are from a small trail that's a 2 hour drive from where I live. Little far to go for pictures.

In the higher elevations, yes. We set out for our trip at around 11 in the morning and the entire time we were there, it was raining off and on. At times, it was hard to tell if it was actually raining or if water was actually falling from the forest canopy. The higher up we got, the colder the air became and the thicker the fog. There were times we could barely even see a few feet in front of us.

For this area, fog does seem common. Every picture I've seen of the ruins featured them being enshrouded by thick fog, which adds further to the mystery.
