I am definitely someone, but I don't know who that is yet. For now, I'm a 17-year-old girl; an artist, a dancer, a poet; a socially awkward being, but a fiercely loyal friend; and someone who hopes that she might make an impact on the life of just one single person.

I can't even see that image, and yet its very concept has made the most lasting impression on me. Unfortunately I've apparently alluded to it once before in my literature. Do you ever notice yourself periodically recycling symbols and metaphors over the years? Whenever I do find this, it's really neat to compare all of the resulting works with one anotherr and see if my perspectives have changed. What a neat process it is to grow in art, and yet even as we change, parts of us remain very much the same.

I have noticed that in myself... but it's not always recycling old things. Every so often I discover that I really really love a certain word or phrase or symbol, and then it starts creeping into EVERYTHING that I write. *sigh* some words are just so applicable to every possible situation. But yeah, I love rewriting old poetry to see how I've changed as a writer.
