Yeah, let's hope so, especially when bringing Tina (not to mention the other members of the cut six) into DOAXVV is one of their few shots at redeeming themselves of that screw up regarding cutting them out in the first place (heck. I'd even be happy if it's just Mila and Rachel since they were screwed out of even having their first vacation thanks to Hayashi's stupid insistence on that wallpaper poll). Apparently, there's plans for adding seven characters going by the dummied data, which means it might be a bit more likely we might get the remaining five of the cut six after all, plus two additional OCs.

And yeah, I hear you about DOA6 looking to be a disaster, especially when it looks like they are not only making their breasts smaller, but even going as far as to get rid of jiggle physics, or at best tone them down to such an extent that the breasts barely even move at all (which if anything makes the girls look even WORSE due to it effectively implying whatever large breasts they do have are silicon-based rather than natural). And not only that, but that idiot Shimbori basically implied that women who had large breasts were somehow "less human" than women with small breasts (which is just dehumanizing. I don't call girls who happen to have very small breasts "less human" than large-breasted women, so why the heck should he do that to those who have large breasts, especially if they actually DO have naturally large breasts to begin with?). Hayashi wasn't nearly as bad regarding his treatment of the females. Heck, even Hideo Kojima wasn't nearly as bad as Shimbori (and he's the guy who gave a very lame reason for Quiet to be mute, and arguably came across at times as having even LESS characterization than most complaints about the DOA girls largely because of her being mute. At least Kojima never tried to dehumanize females regarding their breast sizes by implying having a certain breast size made them less human.). I already worry for Tina, Rachel, Ayane, and Honoka's designs when they inevitably appear in DOA6 if Helena's appearance is of any indication (where it looks like she lost more than a few inches of her chest, to say the very least). Heck, Honoka's going to be hit even WORSE than the others due to the fact that her debut practically ADVERTIZED that she had a large bust even by DOA standards by saying she has "the biggest" before her formal debut, which means they're literally shooting themselves in the foot regarding her character after making lengths to advertise her [makes you wonder why they even bothered to advertise her bust if they're going to shrink it anyway]. Not to mention, jiggle physics would if anything make the fighting look a LOT more realistic regarding females, so it's very stupid under realism to gut it. Heck, he even implied that gutting the whole Soft Engine was to make the girls look more like Marvel Comics' current handling of their characters (such as turning Carol Danvers into... well, Carol Manvers), which gives a lot of really awful implications by itself (Marvel lost money from that decision). I may not be the biggest fan of the fanservice in DOA (in fact, a few times, I think the DOA5 and DOAX3 fanservice went a bit too far beyond what Itagaki would have tolerated. For one thing, I'm pretty sure he would not have wanted destruction mechanics or ribbon outfits that looked like they came from Penthouse magazine if past entries are any indication, and he definitely wouldn't have allowed for the Owner Mode in Xtreme 3, especially the bit where they change in front of you in a game of peek-a-boo. The guy didn't want to add in wet T-shirt contests and/or Trampoline Games precisely because they made the girls look bad, why the heck would he support that aspect of Owner Mode?), but this is going to the exact opposite extreme, one that's most likely going to just kill what made DOA a unique fighting experience. And to top it all off, from what I can gather, the actual fighting mechanics aren't even enough to compensate for this, many times looking even MORE badly done than before, and the violence has been toned up to such an extent that it looks more like a Mortal Kombat game than Dead or Alive (besides, showing images of the girls being battered and bruised, even bloodied, isn't exactly going to give a good PR message to the series especially when it can easily be framed as the girls looking like they had been severely abused and turn people off from the game. Seriously, the DOAX VR got criticized just from Kasumi whining if you touched her. How do you THINK people are going to react to seeing, say, Kasumi having the crap beaten out of her as much as Naked Snake after Volgin caught him in Groznyj Grad and looking very bloodied as a result?). And they do this, what? Just to win over people who most likely would find yet another excuse to not want to play the game anyways? Or appease e-sports (the same group that actually mocked FighterZ)? And after they advertised that Diego... well, let's just say that from the way KT's twitter account is talking, they're making a very big deal with him potentially being gay, it ultimately just killed interest (which is truly a shame, as Diego actually had a rather interesting character arc due to him having a similar motive to Gen Fu for DOA1, DOA2, and DOA3, not to mention Hitomi in DOA4). All I want is to do a fighting game and follow the story of getting to the top, after all (and I've yet to get started on DOA5 anyways thanks largely to the online aspects of both Survive and MGSV taking a huge amount of time. I'm hoping I can at least get Survive done so I don't have to worry about it anymore.), and besides, I'm not exactly fond of seeing males getting fanservice in a certain manner, which Diego's trailer unfortunately seemed to imply (if the twitter account didn't make it blatant). They already ruined Supergirl with this kind of aspect via what they did to Alex Danvers in Season 2 after its move to the CW (what's even worse is that the first season if anything implied that she was straight as an arrow), not to mention a load of other stuff that's best left unmentioned (and each season it only seems to get worse). Heck, speaking of fighting characters, it's also truly a shame that they basically barred entry for the OCs of DOAXVV, especially when Lisa of all people debuted in DOAXBV yet became a mainstay fighter. For goodness sakes, Luna was actually implied to at least know Bushido, which would have been a good new fighting style to use in the mainline fighting series, so if anyone deserved an entry into the mainline series among those three, it was Luna. Oh, and what's worse? The guys at Team Ninja/Tecmo Koei blocked any attempts at petitioning them to stop the madness, meaning that unlike in DOA5 where they tried to pull something similar, we can't even hope to convince them to turn back from their current insanity.

All I can say at this point is that they'd better not screw up the story by deciding to turn Tina and Bass into complete psychopaths or making most if not all the cast anti-American while singing praises to someone like Che Guevara like Hideo Kojima did starting with MGS2 up to MGSV [really, MGS3 and Portable Ops come the closest to actually trying to push patriotism in a positive manner in the series] and to a certain extent what Dead Rising did with Brock Mason or what Resident Evil has done by making Chris give a more pro-Socialist and anti-American remark to Sheva, or else I will REALLY be infuriated with Team Ninja/Koei-Tecmo regarding what they've done to the story and characters. One of the reasons I really got into Dead or Alive besides the females is that the game franchise actually tries to depict America in a fair manner rather than outright demonizing it to the extent that they support Communism or terrorists as good things compared to it (which is unfortunately fairly rare from what I can tell, especially regarding Japanese games). Heck, aside from the more pro-American messages, I also was rather fond of the pro-family values messaging regarding Kasumi, Ayane in Dimensions, Helena, and Gen Fu, plus some other conservative messages throughout.

Whew, sorry I had to write a long-winded essay as a response, but as you can see, like you, I'm also very disappointed and truly angry at what they're doing with DOA6, so angry in fact that I really have to pour out EXACTLY how I feel about the DOA6 bit in full detail. All I can say is that if they don't get their act together, DOA6 is going to be for the Dead or Alive franchise, what The Last Jedi was for the Star Wars franchise, maybe even Solo in the worst case scenario. There's plenty wrong on what they're doing to the franchise right now, even if we ignore their gutting the fanservice elements, and I already predict this will in fact be a big money loser. At this rate, the only good DOA game they're doing right now is Xtreme Venus Vacation, a browser game (and honestly, THAT game came far closer to what the Xtreme series represents than Xtreme 3, including actual direct interactions between the various females). At this rate, all I can hope for is that the guys doing DOA6 have an epiphany that what they're doing is going to be bad for their company, not to mention that they actually allow the cut six into DOAXVV (maybe also create a DOAX3 Ultimate).

I've been working on a Star Wars/Dead or Alive crossover between Tina Armstrong and Star Wars (if you aren't familiar with her or the franchise she hailed from, you can go to the Dead or Alive Wiki and look up Tina Armstrong, or go to her Wikipedia article) for May the Fourth, and as you can guess by now and most likely be surprised at, she's a member of the Galactic Empire in this series, the main villains of the Star Wars franchise.
Now, you may be wondering, why would Tina Armstrong, a character who in the DOA franchise is the physical incarnation of the American Dream and undeniably a good guy, be aligned in this art project with a group who was portrayed as essentially being Space Nazis and had British accents, the latter probably making Christie seem more likely a candidate especially when she's the only non-clone female fighter to actually be evil. Well, as a matter of fact, Tina Armstrong's American nationality as well as her being the epitome of the Americ

Actually, come to think of it, you might want to avoid any of 666RevoEmag's stuff since they're pretty gory (and on that note, you should certainly avoid the story "No Flash Please", since Momiji gets killed off there [thankfully not by sharks, but rather, by being decapitated when she obliviously irritated a walking tree by photographing it]. Her and Kokoro, too [long story short, Kokoro has her head bitten off by a snake just as she was to do a selfie to "one up" some rivals of hers (how that works I really don't know since usually snakes reel in people when eating them, NOT bite their heads off). And she... well, I know you're a big fan of Kokoro and all, but let's just say you're definitely not going to like how she's characterized in that story since she makes some rather catty remarks about her unnamed selfie rival and also calls her a female dog twice.].). Probably the only one of his stories that you MIGHT actually like is The Island Episode 3 part 1, since Marie Rose actually DOES get graphically killed by a mutant crocodile (then again, you might also not like it because the narrative implies she's a kid), and possibly Goro's Vanity, which is the only one of the "Game Over" stories that actually HAS one of the DOA girls having a happy end (Kasumi).

If Tina was ever wondering how Chrissie Watkins from Jaws must have felt in the final moments of her life, she most certainly will know now. This is the third-to-last page, BTW, so it's pretty obvious what her fate's going to be, and it's certainly not a good one. 666RevoEmag generally has a lot of violence in his stories, including graphic deaths (though this one is surprisingly bloodless, considering it just gulps her down whole instead of chewing on her).

And in case you're wondering why Tina's skinnydipping, like I said, she had no choice. The Kraken forced her off the yacht (and by "forced," I mean it grabbed her and threw her overboard and then proceeded to sink the yacht with its girth). Lisa wasn't so lucky, as she was crushed in the Kraken's grasp (she got nabbed while unconscious from the Kraken swiping her just after she discovered it). They originally were going to do nude sunbathing, but then things happened obviously. She was in fact fleeing the ship when this happened (and also mourning for her friend and blaming herself for Lisa's death, apparently Tina dragged Lisa into going to that location in the first place.).

Well, not necessarily vorearephilia (though he does watch BastionCon's various series, which does dabble heavily in that aspect), more like thanatophilia (he generally does graphic deaths and seems to love the mere aspect of death itself regardless of its forms. Vore's more a type of death he uses than something he gets off on in itself, a means to an end in other words). And while Tina meeting Chrissie's fate was indeed 666RevoEmag's idea (the story was made as a request by nswayne), he did it only because he didn't want to repeat Lisa's death for Tina (the story idea called for Tina, Lisa, and a Kraken, with the latter killing at least one of them in its tentacles), as he doesn't like using the same death twice in a story. I discovered this today after asking him.

And I know what vorearephilia is, since I had a friend who was that. Needless to say, I'm not necessarily friends with him anymore, especially when I made the mistake of letting him use my Youtube account when his own Youtube account was disabled by his parents, among other things. I myself am not a fan of vorearephila, though, and in fact, to be honest, I actually personally find it extremely disturbing and disgusting.

So anyways, if you don't like seeing Tina suffering a horrendous fate like that, please don't look at that story. I wasn't sure if your love for Tina also extended to not wanting to see her killed, so I wanted to warn you in case it did mean you don't wish to see her killed, or hurt in something that doesn't involve wrestling/fighting.

si vi esa noticia el dia que salio, y me emociono un poco saber que Itagaki este planeando hacer algo al respecto, aunque dudo que regrese a Tecmo estaria bien que hicieria un nuevo juego de peleas o algo asi, con el colmillo que ya tiene seguro destrozaria por completo al DOA5 me gustaria que se aliara de nuevo con Microsoft para producirlo para tener mas joyas como DOA ultimate, DOA3 y DOA 4
tambien hace poco dijo que le repugnaba la forma en que ya abusan del fan service en el juego de peleas y que por eso antes hacia los xtreme beach volleyballs para cubrir ese aspecto, realmente espero e Itagaki nos sorprenda a todos los fan veteranos de sus juegos

no me gustaría que Itagaki se pusiera en plan de destruir DoA. me gustaría mas que regresara o se adueñara de su producto. Para ser honesto me quede con la duda de ver que planeaba con la historia de DoA. no hay nada como el trabajo del autor original. Esperemos que sea el encargado de DoA6 y no sus antiguos colegas, que solo se interesan en los micro-pagos de los micro-atuendos. Me gustan los trajes pero me hubiese gustado mas un DoAExtremeBeach3 que los luzca mejor.

a estas alturas ya es dificil que Itagaki regrese y mas dificil aun que se adueñe de DOA ya que basicamente es la franquicia mas existosa que Tecmo tiene en estos momentos despues de que practicamente mataran Ninja Gaiden con el 3, es por eso que DOA5 lo han estado ordeñando hasta el cansancio, no me sorprenderia que para el E3 anunciaran DOAX3 para 2016 pero lo ordeñaran hasta el 2018 y despues seguir con un hipotetico DOA6 y ordeñarlo otros 3 años mas ¬_¬ si eso llega a pasar lo sentire mucho pero creo que tendre que abandonar de lleno la saga, de hecho aun estoy en dudas si comprar o no el last round, solo me gustaria tenerlo para no cambiar del Xbox one al xbox 360 solo por eso juego, pero me enoja que aun le falten varios trajes >: (
y pues respecto a lo que dices de como hubiese sido el DOA5 con Itagaki, es interesante porque hace ya varios años en una entrevista no recuerdo el sitio pero Itagaki dijo que los primeros borradores de su quinta entrega serian cambios muy radicales al menos a nivel historia, algo que recuerdo muy bien es que menciono que Kokoro seria la protagonista principal substituyendo a Kasumi y a Helena en ese papel, y que se basaria en que va en busca de sus origenes y descubrir quien es su verdadero padre (como espectador siempre sabemos que es Fame Douglas padre de Helena) eventualmente llegando a DOATEC, y tambien Itagaki menciono que retiraria personajes principales que ya no tendrian proposito de luchar despues de los eventos del DOA4 y la destruccion de DOATEC como bayman y Christie, pero creo que los Ninjas y helena regresarian aparte de personajes nuevos que estarian adecuados para la nueva trama, sin lugar a dudas hubiera sido una forma interesante de explorar el universo de Doa despues de los eventos del 4 no como la historia del 5 que se sintio mas como un gran relleno lleno de inconsistencias e historias absurdas, por ejemplo desde cuando Tina paso de interesarse en el mundo del entretenimiento a la politica, o que incluso el personaje que estaba diseñado para ser el pivote principal de la saga, Kokoro, fuera relegado a un papel segundon y sin importancia y que basicamente los ninjas fueran el tema central de TODA la historia, muy mal hecha.
al menos en mi mente el Final verdadero fue el DOA4 y el DOA5 es solo un spin-off o un "que hubiera pasado si?..."
ahhh y otra cosa incluso Itagaki de alguna manera inspiro a la creacion de Mila ya que en una entrevista menciono que las pecas eran sexys y que le encantaria tener un personaje con ellas en uno de sus juegos...y bueno adivinaste las pecas en la cara son una de las marcas distintivas de mila ¬_¬

No tenia la menor idea de una historia así, que pena en verdad y mas pena siento al reconocer que tecmo no soltara tan fácilmente la saga de DoA asi como Ninja Gaiden y la DoAExtreme, si alguna vez llegan a ocupar a Itagaki me imagino que sera por medio de un contrato donde lo tengan bien sometido y eso si bien le va, pero lo dudo el equipo team ninja y tecmo deben pasarla bien sin Itagaki ya que en algunas ocasiones se expresaron de el como una persona inflexible, pero por algo sus juegos eran muy buenos.
Por lo pronto como fan de la saga solo queda esperar ver lo que sacan a futuro, y esperar que no echen a perder mas cosas

pues de hecho cuando un jefe es inflexible o digamos "cabron" es el mejor jefe ya que saca lo mejor de cada uno lo mismo decian de Bill gates y ve en que se convirtio Microsoft, en cambio ve el gran libertinaje que tiene ahora el team ninja y lo mierda que han salido sus juegos...
pero en fin y nah Itagaki jamas regresara a Tecmo, lo repito la mejor alternativa seria que hiciera un titulo de peleas alternativo eso lo veo mas viable, por lo mientras a ver que tal sale The devil's third que ese si lo espero mucho a pesar de aun no tener un Wii U

A pesar de todo yo seguiré la saga DoA para ver en que termina, espero que no llegue a mal y claro no sera lo mismo pero desde la PsOne y la Sega Dreamcast estoy siguiendo el juego, paso por la Ps2 y las Xboxs y siempre me encanto, este ultimo como comentas es de relleno pero veremos si levantan vuelo.
Y aunque estoy igual que tu al no tener la WiiU abra que checar el trabajo de Itagaki San que en lo personal me parece un tipo de primera. Un tiempo estuvo muy activo en unas revistas, como por la época de DoA Ultimate 2 para Xbox clasico, donde contestaba cartas o preguntas de la comunidad consolera, no recuerdo si era Hobbyconsolas o EGM, el asunto se puso tan bueno que tenia su sección y al final todo termino cuando empezaron los rumores de que su compañía se iba para la quiebra. Que pena en verdad. Pero todo continua así que abra que esperar XD

pues si es una verdadera lastima, yo conoci la saga por el DOA2 arcade en maquinita por ahi del 2001, ahh que tiempos aquellos, solo que nunca pude probar un doa en consola (porque tenia el ps2 y era super dificil conseguir el doa2 hardcore) hasta que me compraron el xbox 360 y consegui el DOA3 y el resto es historia
lastima que esa magia de esperar por una entrega nueva cada que la anunciaban se extinguio con la prostitucion que el New team ninja le esta dando al doa5 ¬_¬

jajaja si es verdad el DoA 2 Hardcore para ps2 era muy difícil de conseguir de hecho yo lo rentaba de una tienda, La primera vez que lo jugué fue en el sega Dreamcast, despues me acorde de el y lo compre para PsOne Slim y para el ps2 lo busque pero al final me conforme con rentarlo, creo que facil pude haberlo comprado con lo que lo rentaba pero no era tan conocido en aquella epoca. Y al igual que tu cuando lo vi para Xbox lo compre. 
Que lastima en verdad es eso que dices sobre la espera, antes escuchabas de un ninja gaiden o un DoA y uno se saboreaba el juego porque eran realmente buenos aun cuando lo retrasaban por cualquier detallito que a Mr. Itagaki no le gustaba pero era por algo y finalmente cuando lo tenias en tus manos y jugabas decias valio la espera. Fue algo que no senti con el DoA5 por lo pronto con el modo historia.
Es exactamente como dices, DoA esta totalmente prostituido.

si bueno al menos planeo pedir por internet el DOA2 harcore para mi ps2 y tambien pienso conseguir un xbox original (jamas lo tuve) solo por el primer xtreme beach volleyball.
y hablando de un tema similar ya viste que Hideo Kojima tambien dejara a su compañia madre Konami, adios metal gears buenos

 que mal, esto es como cuando soltaron el rumor que el proximo God of War sera otro personaje, o el mítico Gears of War para PS3 que al final fue una broma trolleadora jajaja. Abra que ver quien es el indicado para los Metal Gears del futuro, por lo menos que Hideo lo recomende.
Yo se que nadie ni nada dura para siempre, asi que no hay de otra mas que disfrutar lo bueno y esperar que adonde sea que valla el señor Kojima trabaje con la misma calidad de siempre.  mientras tanto a ahorrar para la PS4.

lo unico que me conforta es que Konami rebooteara la saga y dejaran intactos los MGS de Kojima (o eso espero) ojala y los futuros proyectos de kojima esten a la altura de mgsV despues de su salida.
