ok, i just gotta ask you. is this how you talking to people in person? sorry, but just looking at all your comments and responses are giving me headaches. you are the definition of a walking dictionary, or thesaurus.... I find it hard to follow every sentence you type, i find myself markin' every single word to look up in the dictionary. I don't really mean offense, but its just whats with the huge vocabulary? i have a feeling when people read your response they just smile, yet are thinkin, "what the hell is he trying to say.? In layman's terms terms...please..."

Your question is a difficult one to answer, as I speak in a different manner to various persons in accordance with the situation of our conversation and the topic of it, as I believe most people do. If I am light-heartedly talking with a friend, relative, or any acquaintance, my speech is likely to be much more casual than it is in an intelligent discussion, debate, or scholastic matter. I happen to carry over this formal style of writing to my poetry and many artistic conversations, as well. I am certainly not a "walking dictionary", nor thesaurus, for I learn new words very often. In any case, my past comments were not directed towards you, but the individuals who posted messages that I was replying to, and if you were, for example, one who is not a native speaker of English and did not grasp the language entirely, I would talk more simply. I am not offended by your questions or inquiries, but I'm not sure if I can tell you about my vocabulary and its limits. I suppose that I enjoy expanding my linguistic skills as much as possible and that also affects my communication.

You speak as though you have nothing to say and five lines with which to say it. Your poetry however... your poetry is a different matter all together. I'm am interested in seeing what you can accomplish, so for now, I will add you.

If I have correctly identified the implications in your comment, than I may confess that you seem to speak as though your insight is undoubted and I find it both assumptive and impolite of you to mention upon our meeting that you find my manner of speaking excessively long-winded and bereft of any meaning, purpose, or cognitive content. Altogether, I am, for now, not sincerely thankful for your action of adding me to your watch list, as your interest appears only to be a fancy concerned with what I might poetically accomplish in your own discernment. If you believe that I have reacted to your remark in a surprising or erroneous manner, than I would be curious as to how you anticipated that I might receive it.

scott, there was a reason that people made fun of your writting. I used to talk to people like this, and I was made fun of quite incessantly. People don't want to fathom that there is a small possibility of someone being smarter. Again, I reminded you of our discussion, everyone wants to bring someone else down. In your case you didn't attack with the utmost goal of prostrating said opponents, you played defense in attempts to hurt them where they hurt you. You realize you can turn deaf ears to them?

DeathByBeebles In reply to dismalhush [2006-02-01 23:51:07 +0000 UTC]
I'd anticipate you being perturbed about what I had said. However, not only did you receive my opinion; you acted upon it. I find it interesting, in a sense, for you to move from your typical voice (or at least the voice you present) to the voice of poetry, where the best sentiments are felt and not said. As per whether or not you enjoy my "fancy concerned with what you might poetically accomplish", I sincerely doubt it matters. To be blunt, I think you have potential, and I want to see what you can do with it.

That you expected me to be disturbed in some form by your remarks seems to also translate to the idea that you deliberately intended to agitate me, which you have certainly succeeded at doing; however, with what purpose you may have other than observation or fulfilling pride, I am unsure of it. My typical voice, as you refer to it, is one that I hope diffuses politeness, sincere civility, and respect. I do not completely trust to open and unreserved expression of one's feelings, in most cases, unless ethical boundaries are crossed. My tone in poetry shall remain in the writings I compose and I do not wish to carry it over to other dimensions of my life. That is true, it does not matter, for my opinion of your intent is all ready strikingly low. I fail to feel flattered by your estimation that I have poetic potential, however you may read my submitted writings or comment on them, if you so wish, as anyone may do.

Despite your disposition to perceive gratitude from an individual in accordance with having added that person to your watch list as purposeless, I'm encouraged by any form of support and hence, I may express my thanks with honesty and not with mere propriety.

P.S. ~ Considering that you requested my opinion, if I were to suggest a singular Nookicky album to you, it would be "One Aging By Nook".

You're quite welcome. I appreciate your comment, however if you do create speculations about any person when concerning their age, then I would not consider you wise. Wisdom is certainly not the only admirable trait in an individual, as well.
