First of all... there's nothing to be embarassed about ^u^ manga is just a form of cartoonism just from a different culture. It's no different than reading or drawing superheroes from DC or Marvel. Either way, there's no shame or teasing here ^u^ You should enjoy what you love, after all~! ^u^
Anyway, to answer your question, the character as my Avatar is my Fullmetal AlchemistΒ FC (Fan Character). This avatar/icon specifically was created by my good friend AsaRose (their original deviationΒ fma icon batch 1 Β ). So... yes, my avatar is a character that I created myself, while the art of it is from my friend ^u^
