Get a life, dude. For real. Like, in the real world. I'm kinda busy these days (more important things to do like saving lives and stuff). Debating trolls is not my priority.
Maybe I'll answer you eventualy.
Have a nice day

I am not trolling, we are having a discussion about a statement you made about Christianity and logic. You are just accusing me of trolling because you have nothing to counter what I said. I even apologized for swearing, and trolls don't apologize. So don't tell me you are too busy or that you think I'm a troll, when really you just don't want to have to confront a truth that may test your faith. In fact if you truly believed in God and Jesus you wouldn't need to come up with made up logic to be a Christian, you simply accept the fact that your religion had some holes in it but you wouldn't care because you believed in God and that faith would be stronger than logic.

eJcalado In reply to aaaaceace [2016-03-03 03:09:30 +0000 UTC]

Don't lecture me, boy. I can't think of any other description but troll for anyone who choses to spend his/her time on going to another person's page just in order to try to prove them wrong without being provoked.

It's not that faith is stronger than logic, it's just that our minds cannot grasp all of the divine concepts and then we cannot see the logical connections. The link between digital clubbing and lung diseases wans't clear until recently, specialy its seemingly unlogical absence in COPC. Only now that we know it's phisiopatholy more clearly that we can barely undersand it's logical connections. It's works similarly regarding the knowledge of God. God didn't reveal it all to us. It'll be absolutely logical when we finaly get to see all the things that we know, but now it's hard. These are called mysteries: The Trinity itself, the double nature of Jesus Christ, God's sovereingty and Man's responsability for his actions. We don't know. But what God has already shown us is so marvelous it's pretty much logical to assume that the rest is also to be believable.

But in the end, yes, it all comes down to faith. And faith and logic aren't imcompatible, but the later needs more evidence to work fully. Besides, it's a Christian doctrine that only the ones with eyes opened by God can stop denying it. When we ask for mercy He is merciful torwards our pitty selves.

Also, the Bible is a very very very complex thing, and it speaks withing a certain worldview and needs to be interpreted within a field of study called Biblical Hermeneutics. We take a lifetime to get into it, so it's not easy trying to explain it simply.

Here are your answers you want:
1- The Bible took centuries to be written, from Moses (or earlier, since no one knows when or who wrote Job) to John, it took aproximatedly 20 centuries. So it wasn't written decades after Jesus' death. Comparing the Bible canon to the SW Canon pretty much outs you as a troll. Nor is it only disrespectful, but is also wrong both ways. The EU is no longer cannon, period. The owner of SW (Disney) told so. End of story. Jesus, the Verb of God, told us the Old Testament was cannon, and comissioned his disciples to speak for him, hence the criteria for New Testament books to be cannon: Written by a disciple or under direct supervision of/ authorization by one of them. It's not just "a buch of nerds", they're called "scholars", the most intelligent people of their time. Besides, it can't be called scientific in the current usage of the word since the scientific method as of today rarely applies to humanities. So, duh.

2- There is no reason why Jesus would not be coming back. And the idea that people wouldn't believe either is purely espectulation and there's noH sense wasting time with this.

3- Where did I ignore bad things protesants did? You're extrapolating. And there's no freaking way protestants where as ruthless as catholics torwards eachother. History is there for everyone to see. Research for the Valdesians Massacre and tell me if there's any compare between it and Calvin denoucing a cathilic who was hung in Geneva. Plus, Protestants don't claim infability. That's one of the reasons we're not catholic.

4- Let's agree to disagree at this. It's not safe to be a Christian in Palestine, not by a bit. Our missionaries are there and they come back telling us terrible stories. Hamas hate even their own people, why would Christians be left in peace? We read their newspaper, we see their TV shows. It's not safe, not by a bit. And the geopolitical and religious reasons for that are diverse and there's no way to know exactely the reasons behind this persecution, but I tend to stick to what they say, they're getting rid of the infidels.

I'm not afraid to debate, I'm just not in the mood of wasting my precious time with trolls. I really got a lot to study and I really got lives to save as a junior doctor. So I might no be coming back at this

Have a nice day

So except that not everything in the bible makes sense and that trying to claim that is a logical to follow it is just silly. Good, that means I won since that is exactly what I was saying. Don't try and deniy it, you did write that it all come down to faith. Which is fine, just don't trying to use logic to justify something that doesn't need to be justified by logic. If you want to believe in the bible that's fine, the bible does have a lot of parts you can learn good lessons from. Just don't try and tell me that is logical to believe in the bible.

When they where trying to decide what was cannon for the bible they sat around a big room and argued about it. That's it and it is exactly what comic book writers and fans do. Now I am not saying those guys weren't smart, they where very smart, but so are nerds. The difference is that many of those scholars had an engender for why they believed what they believed. So it is hard to judge how accurate the bible really is. Also the very concept of cannon comes from these biblical debates so don't tell me it was any different from modern day nerds trying to figure out if the first time Superman died is still cannon in DC's New 52. Also the first bible, as in a book that had both the old testament and the new one,  was written many years after Jesus death, that is a fact because it took awhile to get all the stories about Jesus's life.

Why would Jesus come back? What reason is there for him to come back? Besides people having say that since his death and it still hasn't happen. Also this is human race we are talking about, there are still people in the U.S who believe the world is flat. So to believe that some people wouldn't believe that Jesus has returned to Earth is perfectly reasonable and logical after looking human history.

Are kidding me with that crap about protestants not being cruel to Catholics? How about the oppression of Irish Catholics by British protestants? The violent protestants up risings in Germany? The way Catholic immigrants where treated when they started coming over to America?  And lets not forget the KKK who did attack Catholics just like they attacked anyone they saw as impure. And that is just the tip of the ice burg. I'm not saying Catholics are with out sin, they did some terrible things right back, but protestants have just as much blood on their hands. Also many protestants do claim ineffability, that's why there use to be British puritans.

Actually they are many Christian who live in Palestine, including Gaza, and Hamas does not hate Christians or their own people. Yes some Christians have been attacked by Hamas, but for the most part Christians are left alone and are seen as a neutral party. Your missionaries are just liars who want to paint Muslims in a bad light.

Still not trolling you. In fact you are doing more to insult and troll me, by calling me a boy. That is not only disrespectful but also really racist.

Hey, xará!
Xará is how one calls other who has the same name as he/she, here in Brazil. And I've never used that word before, and I think you probably has the same issue, hehe! Actualy, I'm not a doctor, yet... I'm still in medical school, and if everything goes as planned, I'll be a doctor in 2018.
Being a doctor is marvelous, and I do not regret my decision in any second. The scientifical part of it is just mesmerizing. The more I get to know how life works more certain I am that God made us. Seriously, people outside science can't even dream of it! And there's also the point: using that to help people, to spread God's love, which is beautiful. Being God's tool is priceless!
My best wishes for you! May God's will be done is your life, future colleague and current and always brother in Christ!
I'll stop by once in a while to listen to your music

Cheers,

Enoque
