Ah, I remember the good old times when all I had to use was my trusty Nikon S6500 compact. You really are talented, especially being able to use a compact in the way you do.Β

Eh, my camera is not professional either (though I like to think it is )
I dont have the money for a $4,000 camera, and until I start to make an income, my primary focus is school.Β

Β Me neither. I got this camera with my low salary. Fortunately I won a contest using it and the prize Β practically paid the camera.
I agree with you, the best you can do for now is focus on school. Or you can join in contests, it's great to practice and win good things

Nice. I'm on holidays now, so I can hopefully get s job. Somone took my laptop charger so I can't upload any photos until I get a new one. So, more money... I would like to enter a contest but cannot find any. Could you recommend any to me?

About contests, I only know contests from Brazil. But I think there are a lot of contests in USA and Europe, and you can join it online.Β  Maybe contests from college canΒ help you too.Β I won in a college contest
Or you can sell your images as stock, you know? Adobe Stock, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, istockphoto, etc
