No worries I just installed the visual style/styles I have a x64bit RTM and all went well if it helps your feedback.

I thought the resizing icons in the explorer address bar actually functioned but they don't.

The skinning itself is needs a little refinement like the traffic lights are not round and the scroll bars need more rounding on the ends as well.

But it's a really nice package and I appreciate all the work in it. I have AveStyleBuilder so I will see how I go with the parts I mentioned and let you know if you like.

ha alright... i think i may have messed my laptop up then... i know its not your problem but any ideas how i would go about getting it back to normal? everything boots up normal but when it gets to windows all im getting is a blank screen nothing works.... i have to press ctrl alt del to get the taskbar to show up then i choose run app and typed firefox and i got that running but i dont know how to do much else... nothing is visable....

Hi,

Sorry to hear your having those problems, I have no idea what you did after you downloaded the visual style, which as I said is for Windows 7 and not for Vista, so, can you tell me if you changed any of the system files after having read the readme files?

If you did change the system files then maybe you can go into "safe mode", google is your friend if you don't know how to do that.

Then whilst you are in safe mode you can rename the original system files, that you backed up, [to their original names].

Other than the above situation being the case I really don't know what may be wrong with your system.

Open C:\ Windows directory or ( folder same thing ) right click explorer.exe in that directory and rename it to explorerBAK.exe then place the correct explorer.exe into the same directory ( folder ).

What you need to do is right click the desktop - select View - then uncheck "Show desktop icons"
