# About me
I work in the film industry mostly in pre-production doing Pre-Visualization (PreViz) as well as storyboards and animatics. I have worked on films such as Star Trek, Wolverine, Day the Earth Stood Still, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Transformers 3, AKIRA, and GI Joe: Retaliation. You can check out my Demo Reel here (http://jason-hall.net/) if you like.
I also teach "Intro to Character Design" at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects (http://www.gnomonschool.com/), in which I also attended and completed the full certificate program for Visual Effects.
Also known as DJ J NAYKID, I can be seen spinning good house beats at burning man parties and clubs throughout Los Angeles and up and down the West Coast.
So basically Im sort of all over the place creatively, heheh. But that's me in a nutshell. Hope you all enjoy the art here and please let me know what you think! And also feel free to write with any questions you might have about my work or art or anything. I love talking shop with fellow artists.

You are welcome! If you like my look and ever need reference photos, I would be honored to give some to you from my private collection. I have thousands that are not posted on dA (that also fully show my face) - everything from classic nudes to highly erotic. Keep up the great work!

Oh I already have my friend. Love every piece in there pretty much. Cool stuff! Would be cool to see some of them scanned too to eliminate the shadows from the photos, but nonetheless still fabulous work.
Saw you had some prints and tshirts too but no links. You selling those tshirts anywhere?

yeah totally my problem, the photo/scanner issue. As a matter of fact the drawings are mostly A3 in size and A3 sized scanners are the more professional ones which are quite expensive. Could you recommend a method which is a little less expensive and bring up good results? The camera's I use are from the Cromag era by the way, would it improve rigourusly when I buy a state of the art camera? Cheaper thanx a scanner

hey there, ya no level of camera is gonna get rid of shadows though, maybe if it were better or more evenly lit and touch it up in photoshop. Ive done that before. It is tough though, I hear ya. Especially with the bigger size A3 pages. I mostly work digital now thankfully but have spent the last decade before dealing with a smaller scanner and scanning pages in 2, 3, and sometimes 4 or more pieces and having to try and combine them in photoshop and get everything lined up and stuff which is a pain especially with thin linework like you do. But then again an 8.5x14 scanner tends to only be $100ish so guess it depends if its worth it at the moment. But yeah those bigger scanners are awesome but expensive.
I'll bet your stuff would sell great as prints and Tshirts (Id buy one) though, so might be worth getting good scans at least of a few of your best ones if thats your intention.

Hi,
yeah, I was thinking about scanning parts and combine them but am a little worried about bends in the drawing etc.
I had a professional photographer work on it a little and he came up with this:
[link]
Not good enough, as the lines get too thin now, but when we find a way somewhere in the middle, things might turn out very well.
Whether or not I want to use my prints for goodies for sale, I have to think it over. The goodies I have now are just a fun present made by a friend who has an original drawing and made some birthday presents for me a couple of years back....problem is with commercializing...it might turn out to be no longer yours after a while. I like to keep it a little exclusive for a while but who knows, could be fun to try...just some small batches with really good prints...could be.
Keep an eye on my profile every now and then, when such ideas turn to reality, I'll definately post some news about it
