we can do a test run. I don't normally do much of A. publicly anyway. most of my studies and references stay in my sketchbook. B would probably be the most preferable. I have designed characters before.

well that kinda sounds unorthodox to their characters as well as just in general... what's the context here? I'd get it if it was nemo surfing on dory's back that could be easily rendered same as the reference picture as fun and playful interaction but a grown woman just standing full weight on a child doesn't really have a conventional aesthetic I can think of and seems more or less emotionless. Unless of course I do a crossover with spongebob or something and shrink her down to a comical harmless size.....that could work...although it's still lacking a bit of exposition too.

Nemo would probably be drawn older, or it would just be painful otherwise.

Emotionless? Human surfing usually sounds funny to most (which is also why they are doing it).

well human surfing is whimsically funny in the right light. I was just saying an adult standing on a child seems morally challenging. it's usually the other way around or a couple or something of that sort where there's obvious joy involved and no question of why one is crushing the other.
