Hey. Just wanted to say, I saw a heap of your old stock stuff from... wow must be almost 10 years ago now. Your old profile said you thought it was mostly shit, well it wasn't really, just a stepping stone
Anyway, I came across one of your old stock pics I had saved and just thought I'd take a look and see if you were still on DA. You've got some amazing pictures here, great work!

No worries. I'm curious, are most of the pictures you're posting from around where you live? There's just so many different and beautiful landscapes... We live more or less in the rainforest where I am, but we don't get the extremes like snow and fog and such - really wish we did!

Well, since it took some time to browse through all of your photos, the least thing to say is that it was probably the smartest thing I've done today. For that reason I'm writing this (in normal circumstances, I'm to lazy to make a note and in normal circumstances, most of the things I see on this deviantART is morbid crap made by amateurs or the extreme ego trips made by professional photographers).
Here's the thing. Those frantic series of self portraits are really something great in my humble opinion, and that's coming from a person that loathes people with self portrait ambition. Absolutely fantastic mini series. Lightning is great, composition is great, expression is great. I strongly suggest that you take them out of the digital form, on a paper and on a wall of some gallery, because the quantitative concept of those portraits combined with their expressivness is something that is worth seeing in a physical exhibition space of any sort. I sincerely hope to hear (since England is far, far away for me to see) that one day it became reality. Best of luck and I hope to see some of your work in the future.
