Thank you so much for adding me to your favourites!
I do those portraits like this: First, I print out the photo in the right size. Then I transfer the most important lines (outlines, eyes, mouth etc.) with carbon paper onto another sheet of paper. After that, I divide the picture into different regions according to the brightness of the original. Finally, you transfer those areas to the canvas (by drawing by eye, by using a projector or again the carbon paper). I made the sprinkles with a relatively liquid black thinned further with water and an old toothbrush.
And that's it!
