Circe is a very complex carachter, she seems to know the real nature of male igs !!! And on the other hand she falls in love withΒ Ulysse. We don't even understand why he leaves her and her palate of gold to take the sea and get back to Penelope and her tapestry???Β

Who knows...?
But she would also have turned Ulysseus into a pig, if he had not got help from Hermes

Very true ...but it seems an added version ... Ulysse is warned by one of his mate...he just refused to drink her beverage.

No, that not quite right. It is correct, that Ulysseus is warned by one member of his crew (Eurylochos). But Hermes gives him advice and a particularly plant (moly) to resist CirceΒ΄s sorcery.

Definitely true, but what I meant is that the Odyssee is probably a compilation of different moral tales ,the Hermes intrusion is probably tardive. The Circe Γ©pisode is at my sence around the ambivalence of human. To serve and be feeded or to exist as a identity and take the risk of loneliness and destruction. We have a tale from La Fontaine " the wolf and the dog" I'm sure you know this one. One of the greek Gryllos even chose to stay in his pig state.
Like with the sirens Ulysse wants to taste the danger and resist it with ropes in a case and theΒ moly plant in an other. The fear for the greek people is not controlling their instincts the "Ubris"like the rage of Achile in Iliad andΒ with Circe sexual desire with a witch...Β
This is what his interesting in real domination, and your work is concrete evidence, what is exchanged between slave and dominant, what is the hidden contract that ties those two?
It's very pleasant to discuss with you...I hope I'm not too boring.Β

I noticed that you watch me. I apreciate every watch but I always ask a simple question. Why did you watch me? What part of me or my profile appealed to you?

Good question. I can't remember who first watch the other. But I try to watch the personns who watch me. Exactly for the same reason. Trying to discover what appeals to them in my work. For you, I don't know yet. Your work seems to be at the beginning of its trail. I'd like to follow its evolution if you agree.Β
