I have a lot of favourite songs from Rush. But I think the
one that really gets me is Bravado. "We will pay the price/ but we will not count the cost"; I can't help feeling profoundly struck every time I hear these lines.

Glad you liked the drawings. Just to let you know, I actually keep The Fire as my fav just to remind myself, as one old folk song would go, to keep my eyes on the prize. It's basically to remind me to have faith that there will be change for my country. It sounds cliched, I know.... but I'd rather just keep on believing. That's the best thing I can do now

Ah, Bravado has a special place in my heart as well.
Fantastically written. Sometimes the lads from Rush are so great at what they do, it totally blows my mind.

I know what you mean. There something really real about the
songs that make. I know fellow aspiring musicians like me
would gladly expound of Rush as an example of great music.
But I guess it was more that that for me as well; just music truly from the heart.

I'm from Malaysia. I live at the Eastern side (the Borneo side).Its a great place actually, Its only the dogmatic conservatism and hypocrisy from the top that just plain flabbergasts me greatly. But excluding all this, its where I come from. I have to say this place has more or less shaped me. My roots are all here.

Yeah, totally. Most people I know can't get over Geddy's voice to even listen to the beautiful music they make. I do admit, that I didn't like Rush before because of his voice; I guess it's more of an aquired taste.

Oh I see. I'm from Canada, so there isn't as much issues with politics, I suppose. It's kind of funny living in a multicultural society, everyone pretty much does their own thing.

I know what you mean. Most of my friends who listen
to Rush for the first time are really turned of by
Geddy's vocals. Funny... for me it wasn't totally
the issue. I guess you can say I was more into the music end of it. The first Rush song I got into was Spirit
of Radio. I was really intrigued by its arrangement;
the fact that it alternated between a rock and reggae
beat. It was totally in my head during my last weeks
in my high school final year.

Our country is multiracial as well. But there are underlying
issues and prejudices that is prevalent between us. It had been simmering for a while since the colonial days. It doesn't really help when the most of us are really silent on the issues which in the end would fester and break this country apart. I think most of us would rather complain from a distance or turn a blind eye. The silence in our part is really scary if you think of it.
