I've done a lot of different things to practice my art. I guess it depends on where you're starting.
Paper and Digital are very different.

I know. But I'm on paper mainly and I feel like once I actually improve. Digital would be easier because then I would not have to worry about how bad my art looks. Which it'd be easier with a drawing tablet correct? And thank you I would appreciate the help greatly

When I started on paper, I used to trace alot. Some people would tell you that it's wrong which in part is true but I'd never exhibit my drawings and I never claimed it as mine. But anyways, after much tracing I ended up memorizing a lot of what I'd draw and I'd start to draw without tracing and practicing. Later on, I'd start drawing from what I've see with the knowledge of what I'd already know what to draw.

When I started on Digital, it was kinda like starting over but without the tracing and like others I started with a mouse, eventually getting my tablet.

Thanks for the advice. It's really helpful. And drawing on digital with a mouse for my is kinda difficult but I'm sure it'll get better before I actually get a tablet . But thank you for the advice it really is helpful
