# About me

Hi I'm Stephen Precella, creator of Raven's Fire Knifeworks. I started making knives in 2012 with a local artist named Russell Montgomery, owner of Serenity Knives in Houston, Tx. Houston is a fast growing culinary center these days, so we found a niche market with chefs and restaurants. I became the "steak knife guy" who made knives at night so few customers ever saw me. My steak knives ended up in restaurants locally and nationwide. But culinary just wasnt "Me."

I began branding my work "Raven's Fire," and I abruptly shifted to hunting and combat knives. This worked well for my teacher who thought a combat knife with "Serenity" stamped into it was ironic. Today, I still work for Serenity Knives and produce knives under both labels. I refer to myself as a unicorn, or gremlin because Im almost never seen by customers, but rest assured I spare no expense in time or resources to create a quality knife.
