# About me
This is my portrait made by Viktor Safonkin in 1998. A lot of symbolism in it.
The armor to symbolyse my fighting spirit
The rings to symbolize my taste for the refined
The Lion to symbolyse that the powerful come to me as friends (my wife being a lion in sign of the zodiac, did not appreaciate too much that one)
The eagle killing the snake as symbol of my fight against the evil
The bulls for my resistance
The kyte for my imagination and creativity and finaly the oak tree to symbolize the wish of the painter for my long life.
When Viktor presented me the painting, I asked him if he didn't overdo it? His answer was no, why?
You must be an artist and a surrealist to think that way!
The most surprising is the eagle that is killing the snake! Something like one year after the painting was done, I reveived a job in Mexiko and guess what is on the flag of Mexico. A coincidence? Maybe????
The first painting I bought from Viktor was the one of an antique soldier sitting on the edge of a wall and from his helmet was escaping all the sea creatures you can imagine. The second was about a Christ on the top of a mountain. After Mexico, I landed in Rio, where the symbol is the Christo Redentor (a Christ on the top of a mountain).
That is already too much of a coincidence!

I am now in St. Petersburg and after visiting the Hermitage museum, I had exactly the same reaction you had when seing my paintings. I am just a beginner and have a lot of work in front of me to reach the level of those painters.
Tomorrow I go to the vernissage at the State Gallery of St. Peterburg of another genious I discovered some 15 years ago in Prague; Viktor Safonkin (if you type his name in Google, you will see what he is doing). As we are good friends, I think that he would not mind telling you his secret.
His secret is 14 hours of painting a day, 7 days a week, during the last 20 years!
I saw what you are doing, and there is a great progress between your first and your last works! The secret is in the work amount and love you put in your work, so if you are ready for the two of them, as you have talent, the rest will come by itself!
For me, as I had in mind making a brilliant career in business, I had to downsize the time invested in painting, but it is, I hope, not late for me to make the right choice soon.

Oh wow. His art reminds me of yours for some reason. That art was amazing. I am very impressed by your work. I don't know what it is. There are very nice artists on here, but I think I am connected with your art. Is that possible? I think it is. I just love all your art.
The buildings are so amazing. I can't imagine looking at something everyday as a building and taking in every piece of brick. That's why I can't draw or paint!

Thank you for comparing me with Viktor, I do not deserve such a compliment! I am quite different from him but it is funny that I already heard this remark. Who knows, perhaps Viktor"s work is my nostalgic feeling of what I could have become, if my decision after my economic studies was to study fine arts and not to make a PhD.
Thank God that in the world tastes are so diverse and some people already told me that they prefer my art to Viktor's.
Someone said that the beauty is created in the eyes of the spectator! In your eyes this beauty I want to project is amplified.
I have in a way always tried to be quite original in what I was doing. As my only art education is the result of a lot of lecture, museum visits and a long trial and error process, I feel so happy when my art produces feelings like those you are describing.
I am also certain that the artists project some of their energy in their paintings and some people are able to sense it and some do not. You probably have this gift!
