# About me

I'm a frog in disguise. I'm known as the great Dalai Rana. I've been sent from the past to prepare the invasion and to warn the shaved monkeys (the "huuumans") that frogs will take over the world, kill the weak, and froggify the strong. This will happen on 12/21/2012, as the mayans foretold.

Hi Cristian, I saw your post on one of the generative art groups.  I've just started my own group, since none of them seem to be too active.  Check it out generative-design.deviantart.c…

Feel free to join and submit your work.  It's only me right now, but maybe we can get people interested in generative art!

Of course your program can't handle Turtle algorithms, you silly frog. They are all controlled by the Turtle Alliance.

It's your merit, man. I wish I would be that good with Topmod3D + Cinema4D.

c.r.a.m. is some kind of vocabulary trainer or your program for generative art? i'm pretty curious about it. btw, can you handle mosplines in turtle mode?

C.R.A.M., "Cristian René Art Media", is the only half-witty name I could think for my software when I was developing it for a class (not totally my property, but also two professors provided code in time). But the program is only a designer and calculator for the fitness, mutation, inheritance, crossover and selection; I do the renders with good old Pov-Ray! (forgot Pov-Ray in my tools of the trade, must correct it). The program doesn't deal with L-Systems, so nope, can't handle mosplines, nor turtle algorithms to grow plants. Later in development I tried another branch to deal with L-Systems (even trying to include heliotropism into the equation) with regular to bad results, compared with my expectations. I abandoned it because I found apps on the internet that do much better on L-Systems than I could ever dream of (Houdini, Arbaro, Xfrog and C4D, afaik).

thanks for the explanation! though i was a bit unclear considering that mospline turtle mode..
cinemas mograph module does these 3d L-systems if one knows how to handle them. unfortunately i can't handle this mode,
because it _always_ produces crashs when trying to modify the strings which define the shape. but i'm sure that you can do that and have a LOT of fun with!

I've seen it in video. Indeed it looks like good fun, but for the moment, due to money and time constraints I'm stuck with version 10 of C4D, that AFAIK, doesn't includes this functionality.
Everything I've done with C4D never reached any acceptable level. For some time posted them in a blog, to see my own evolution, but simply quitted and erased: I'm not good modelling at all. C4D has an extraordinary render engine and spectrum of possibilities, reasons why I believe that will be back onto it... eventually. For now I enjoy a lot what people do with TopMod3D and C4D.
