I have a question about BloodRayne 2 game: who is the boy in the last cutscene from the game? He was saving by Brimstone soldier.
This boy in concept: cs633527.vk.me/v633527426/3c94…

Hello. I'm in the middle of making a video about the BloodRayne series. I'm trying to figure out where BR2 is taking place. In the game the name of the location is never mentioned, it's always called just "City". Was there any specific location e.g. in the UK (we can see the UK armed forces flag in the mansion) or is it an abstract made up city in Europe or, say, North America?

skankerzero In reply to KaiteValentine [2015-05-10 04:27:32 +0000 UTC]
It was always just, 'The City'. Feel free to make it take place where ever you want.
I always felt it took place somewhere in Europe or North America.

not a problem! It's always a little bit surreal seeing people cosplay my designs.
Do you have any more pics of that cosplay?

I didn't have inspiration for anyone's things in particular. I just design my own things and sew. I usually just pull official art from the game sites themselves. I like or fav other peoples things. But I like doing my own things. If it is similar, I'm sorry that would be a coincidence.

ah, I thought that was a cosplay for Rayne's dress from BR2 (which I designed).

If you don't mind me asking do you work on games? I was going through your art and found a lot of concept art. I may have misunderstood what you where saying/asking. I saw some E3 stuff in there too. Did you actually work on the game itself or is that all fan art? If it is game stuff and not fan art then yeah the concept came from official game art. If I'm correct in hearing you? You designed her actual dress they used in game? If you did that, it would make you freaking awesome and I would have never expected to see someone on here like that! From my knowledge you have a few great professionals here on Deviantart but most of us are cosplayers, and fan artists, or other artists trying to polish skill.

yeah, I was the senior 3d character artist / concept artist on BR2. All that concept art is mine.
Take a look at my profile, it has a list of all the games I've worked on. It's a bit out of date though.

You really knew how to make a femme fatale... can I ask what influenced to create Rayne? Any possibility on a BR3? Also, were you involved in the creation of Betrayal at all?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
skankerzero In reply to gdpr-15844937 [2013-03-10 03:51:44 +0000 UTC]
Thank you for the kind words.
I only made Rayne for BloodRayne 2. Her face was influenced by Milla Jovovich. Her body was influenced by many different women.
No word on BR3. I know Majesco is not looking to make another BR game for a while.
I did not work on Betrayal.
My new studio would love to touch the bloodrayne games again since most of us worked on BR2 and Aeon Flux. So hopefully sometime in the future.

Milla Jovovich is pretty much a goddess...
Would Majesco let you purchase the rights to BR? Or is that super goddamn expensive?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
skankerzero In reply to gdpr-15844937 [2013-04-15 16:04:40 +0000 UTC]
Last I heard it was super expensive as it's one of the only original ips they own.
Well, at least more expensive than I can afford at the moment. We shall see though.
They don't have any plans for a BR game soon, but things can always change.

Have you ever worked in 2D gaming?
Also, is Demonik a real game, or was it just a tech demo for Grandma's Boy?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
skankerzero In reply to iRawred [2012-09-14 07:03:44 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I made some 2d game demos, but that's about it. Way back when the Game Boy Advanced came out.
Demonik was a real game at one point, but Majesco started having money issues and had to cut funding for it, so we stopped working on it. We consolidated all the teams in the studio and started working on Ghostbusters when Demonik was cancelled.
I might have a working build of it somewhere.

I'm in the process of making my first game with my new game studio. Here's our concept trailer. Add us on Facebook if you have it.

I still reply to fans because you guys deserve it. I love creating a community.

That's a shame. The game looks amazing, but I'm not into mecha, you know? But it does look great.
Another Bloodrayne game would be great. Just perhaps not one based on the second movie. xD

skankerzero In reply to iRawred [2012-09-18 17:38:35 +0000 UTC]
thanks!
Yeah, the game is heavily influenced by mecha and sentai series. There will be 10 starting characters and 10 more unlockable. We're going to make sure we try and hit as many genres with the characters as we can. We only chose to show off the mecha guys first because they're fun to animate.
I wish Majesco was better off finacially because I know exactly how to reboot the series.

20 is pretty much alot, and you're going to do it all by yourself? Good luck!
Reboot? I don't really see the need to reboot the series, but maybe you will be able to convince me? xD
