My grandmother and grandfather emigrated from the Azores. They didn't teach their children Portuguese so I only learned a few words. They did teach all of the grandchildren a strong helping of Portuguese pride though. :-) (Smile)

As long as that portuguese pride isn't limited to football (the european version of it, of course) and Cristiano Ronaldo, it's a good thing. Also, you should, one day, visit the place where they came from. I was never in azores, but from what I see, it's a wonderful place. Also, sorry for the late reply :x (Mad)
