It's always a shame having to give up something you were working on, but...well, let's be frank, the original one was a rushed mess that hurried the plot along for the sake of cramming in more perverted 'little boy in distress' scenarios and was driven almost entirely by bullshit 'believe in yourself and have faith' messages. And despite my best efforts to rectify that in the sequel, Martin's own writing style was declining more and more every time.
