i have beaten awakening 9 times, and ive played all route of fates each a few times??? ive watched bits of playthroughs of radiant dawn and path of radiance but i havent played those yet ;w;
im also probably going to buy shadow dragon when i get the money, also when echoes comes out im gonna buy that too

aaah yea like??? the thing is that Fates does have a lot of Problematic™ shit in it????? like i can barely stand parts of it but i cant really help that fire emblem is one of my special interests so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the gameplay is pretty good, and its harder than awakening, thankfully. i still like the salvageable parts of it ahaa,

and for awakening its a lot of???? elitist bs??? but i can see why partially??? its much easier than a lot of the other fire emblem games, it brought back casual mode, and also invented the S-support, and had not the best story (according to some). this was because it was an attempt to bring in more players on intellegent systems' part, since the older games were very uh...niche. awakening revived fire emblem, so technically people are somewhat thankful for it but some individuals like to whine and moan about it. personally i thought it was a decent game, even if it did have flaws with characterization or plot holes. maybe im just being a sentimental bird, though, it was my first fire emblem game.

The first time I played through Fates, I thought something was a bit off about it but now that I've watched people critique the game, I understand why. It does have a lot of problems :"D (I do love parts of the game though)
AAAA Awakening was my first game too so I have a lot of bias rip.
I never really noticed any problems with Awakening, besides maybe there being a lot of characters introduced at one time, but idk if other FE games do that normally. I've seen people complain about Awakening as well, even putting it in the same boat as Fates which I think is kinda unfair. Fates has bigger problems :/
As for the elitism, I assume this is about being able to beat the game with only Robin or Chrom? Well you can do that, but you don't really HAVE to. Like you can choose not to use them in battles if you don't want to (Chrom is required in some battles, and I think Robin is required for the final battle but w/e), so it kinda doesn't matter? I dunno.
OH YEA, everyone complains about the children mechanic and im just like????????????? why would you not like it, thats one of the most fun parts of the game; pairing units together so that they can have amusing relationships and have AWESOME kids (*cough* lucinaandmorgan *cough*)
