That is pretty cool. When I was in a-town I was only able to make it down once a year. Ridiculous how expensive flying is these days You'll have a ton of fun though!

That is a pretty cool store. Definitely a good resource considering things for crabs is not that abundant How long have you been doing the business?

People watching at the fair is always fun! I could sit and watch folk in Palmer for hours. There certainly are some characters around there

The layout of Fairbanks is a nightmare, I know. Lots of deaths from it. It's like somebody just barfed a city in the middle of AK with no thought or planning. Still too cold to be doing interesting stuff. I hear getting drunk is all the rage, though!

I've been crazy stressed out with tons of HW and exams lately. This semester sucks. Hope you found something to occupy your time with.

So the Northern Lights came out this morning and I can't see them The pictures show green but I just saw a funky cloud pop out of no where Those were some expensive pictures though...renting a car for 4 hours sure beats chilling in the airport though!

Hopefully it goes by fast for you! I'm not a fan of school stress...reason it's taking me so long to sign up for classes again

I'm chilling in anchorage for the weekend visiting friends. I missed them since moving away and try to get up here as often as I can.

Saw hunger games tonight too. Haven't read the books but think it was a pretty good movie.

How've you been (other than school). Do you bring your puppy up or dies he stay home during the semester?

Other than school, I've been a bit down. I absolutely hate Fairbanks, so it gets to me after a long winter. I get grumpy and cynical from not being able to go to the beach or hike. Plus, I haven't made any good friends since coming up here, so nobody to hang out with besides my husband. I sound like such a loser right now. lol!

My dog stays in Juneau. I couldn't bring him up here even if I had the means ($$ and pet friendly apt). He's too big to fly! AK Air used to be able to take dogs his size, but they discontinued their largest crate. >:C Would have to ferry him and then drive to Fairbanks from Anch, and that is not going to happen with my truck. I would surely break down.

Have you gotten as much snow as a-town? I was there this past weekend and I doubt those snow piles will melt by next winter. Apparently they ran out of places to hide the snow

We got around 3 feet or so accumulated- not bad. Higher in some areas, lower in others. Dude! This one spot on the UAF campus, there was still a snow pile in JULY. This was a couple years ago. How much did Anch get this year do you know?

The prank was a few months in the making and was for april fool's a few years back. I made myself a facebook girl-friend

Started the account in February to give her some FB history and even worked with a friend to create her a blog. Pretty much stole posts from her own blog but it was still good. Got friends in on it so they can post as her so there would be no 'she only posts while steve is online hmmmm' talk. Told other friends I wanted some 'about time you two made it official' or 'congratluations' comments on the relationship change.

So on midnight 01 on April 1st I was in a relationship...and it worked a little too well. Heidi, a friend of mine, called me at work because my mom added the GF and was trying to chat with her. So Heidi was chatting back (as the GF) and we came up with good responses for my mom. Heidi posted something like 'I want to make Steve a birthday cake but I don't know what kind is his favorite'...like two minutes later I get a call from my dad wondering what kind of cake they should make for my birthday even though I won't be down that year. So I told him and they relayed that back to Heidi.

Anyway, this went on for a couple of hours before I got a call from both my brother and sister (who were my eyes in Oregon to see how well the prank was going)...and the consensus was if we keep it up the whole day they will murder us So I set my status to something along the lines of patting myself on the back for the best april fools prank ever. Well my parents thought I did something to the GF and was confused. My sister had to explain it to them...different ways for like 20 minutes. I soon got a text from my dad saying something like 'about wanting to talk to you later today, I change my mind. You're a bad son'...and I didn't hear from them for a few days. It owned

I think the kids are having fun with the snow. I saw where they've been climbing up the snow piles and sliding down It would definitely get old after a bit though. I personally am sick of snow after January 1st. Since there are no more festivities the snow can go away

Though digging through the snow like a hamster would be pretty cool. I have to let you know I busted up laughing when I read that part of your comment

The southeast is not cold. That's where I'm from. It's just like Washington state, only less populated. But yeah, once you get past southeast, the cold sucks. I'm in Fairbanks, AK right now and it's a horrible place to live year-round.

I've never been to Washington state. lol I assume it's just average weather,
slightly rainy? Whenever I hear Alaska though I think EXTREME cold, I can't handle the cold
....It doesn't make for nice weather. It looks gorgeous though, I'm kind of surprised,
your photography is amazing, you're quite talented.
