Of course!

The book doesn't spend much time talking about the kids' origins after that letter, but in a couple of the spinoff books (unpublished until the main series is all done), the theme shows up a bit more, and as a more critical plot point for another character.

I, personally, just love people in love and wanted to express a pretty unique origin without much aplomb so it could be there to shape the characters' lives, but not really be a big deal, you know? As if, in the future, we'll have finally gotten past all of that and, as it were, moved on to some other stupidity entirely!

I think I'm rambling... And possibly not making much sense in addition... Okay, moving on!

(tacklehug) Hey, what's your name on YIM? I just realized recently that a lot of my contacts were erased (had it set to only show who was on). I think it might have been erased years ago without me realizing it (which makes me feel like a jerk, even though I know there was no way I could have known some of my contacts were eaten)
