Not sure. I think they may be equally matched if Raz utilize his abilities right. Abilities like invisibility and telekinesis may come in great advantage since Ness can't do that, or...have not demonstrated in the game that he can.

GASP. You just started playing Earthbound? I finished it a few months ago myself! It was the coolest ever. (It was pretty cool to play the game that inspired Yume Nikki, one of my favorite fan-series.) That having been said, I need to stop being lazy and finish Psychonauts. Have you played Mother 3 already?
AND NOW FOR ART-TALK. I've already mentioned those neat outline effects that you used in your original Razputin portrait, but you've expounded on them by turning them into subtle auras, which is perfect for this clash. The red-green contrast in the background is wicked cool and complements both of the characters' designs well. Colors, colors, colors!

I tried a bit of Yume Nikki, but that game made me pretty uncomfortable! So I kind of stopped...but I didn't know it was inspired by EB. That's incredible! You havn't finished Psychonauts yet? Tsk tsk. How far are you into the game? The last stage is notorious for making people pissed off haha!

I want to and I probably will! But I am personally a bit hesitant to play it due to a character named "Lucas" in there. Few commenters mentioned that character to me due to Kiefer's striking resemblance with him. I think Lucas is a cool looking character, and I agree with the similarity, but I still feel embarrassed looking at him! Haha!
Thanks a lot Dreilex! Ah, I am glad that someone noticed the little color theme(?) I gave to the characters to represent the conflict. It took a while for me to get the color right due to messy color scheme they were creating. Ness is so...bright and primary-colored! ):
