Please consider sending me a link to what you make if you post it online. I would love to see how you use this model. I will export this model to other 3D formats if anyone asks for it within two months of the date I first upload this.
Download Features:
- one 3D model of the GLaDOS Core
- 16 Materials (4 eye and 4 handle colors)
- Project Render Settings
- Sample Area* (3 floors and 3 lights)
- The model is designed so that it is very easy to: toggle the dots around the eye, change the pupil size, and swap the colors of the iris and handle pads
* (The sample area included is the one that was used to make the reflections for the preview render in this download promo image. Using a Compositing Tag it hides itself from the Camera at render time.)
you can see a realistic render here [link] and a large game-style render of this model with each color set here [link]
an export to the OBJ format is now available at [link]

i did that there is a link in the description for the OBJ export version of the file . you can open that file in almost every 3D program , including 3DSMax . you may have to make your own materials/textures

Sketchup won't open C4D files? I didn't know that. Will it read the OBJ or the 3DS format? I'm not sure if the Materials will export properly but if you can read an OBJ or a 3DS I will export a copy of this model for you.

I think it should be .3DS. I think SketchUp (as well as most packages) will open those.
Could you model GLaDOS? That would be incredible.

Ah, well I'm actually thinking about building a full-scale replica. I figure if someone can build a Portal gun replica, why no GLaDOS?

I can use an unofficial plug-in to get a .obj in. (without textures, I'd have to make my own)
Could you send me that?
Keep in mind I'm using the free version.
