Description Robert E. Stanley's Nisga'a Totem designs inspired my bezier curve practice projects... These are typical crests that are found on native indian totems in western B.C., Canada.

I think Stanley wrote a few books on the subject...might check the local liabrary

These are actually pretty easy to create in a vector program...on some level that art form is very sophisticated that it translates to well to modern times...
I remember the museum trips too...

these are soo cool...
i like inuit art....it's so simple yet complex enough to tell the whole story...

Thank you...I want to do a few more for practice and then try to make something original....I think this is a highly underrated and overlooked artistic tradition.

i started doing a vector of one in illus a little while back, and it was easy coz i got to use my pen and it turned out really smooth....
it was on my other hard drive though, and stuff that's on there has been lost during the great crash

i'll check them out again after.....
but it will probably be a while till i get to doing somethign like that agian...pretty busy with stuff at the moment
