I guess you could go for a kikkou as a base ?
1 knot by the collar bone ;
1 knot by the fifth(or fourth) rib ;
Then separate your 2 wisps and add several knots to get it easier to stretch afterward ;
Rejoin them with a knot by the pubic symphysis and then go for the crotch.
If you want to find a good exemple of a kikkou, I suggest you google it with the tag "shibari" added.

Yes, but the bottom would be wider and the horizontal ropes shouldn't be to tight. The red ropes help a lot to keep everything in place.
But the red ropes are the main event of this piece of 'rope fashion', why would you want to take it out?

Oh no i wouldn't! i actually like them a lot. I was just curious how the whole effect would be different since you seemed to hint at the fact that this particular pattern didn't have the corset originally.
