Description upon reading pretty many versions of this même all filled out, I came to following deduction. The girls filling this out can be seperated into two groups.
The man-self of Group 1 is in fact their idea of an ideal man, more or less subconciously.
The man-self of Group 2 is their girl self in a different body, complete with homosexuality and all.
And then, a few cases such as myself, really think about it and try to reconstruct their man-self as logically as possible. more or less successfully.
(no offence meant. to anyone.)

anyways, I have now finished graduation. and pretty well, too! SO, today I did this thing, relishing the feeling of being able to draw without having to feel bad because you should be studying. I've been fiddling around with genderbend ideas for a while now, and imagine my glee when I found this même!!! SO much fun. I highly recommend it.

And I fail at drawing real life people. My family's all screwed up, 'cept for Dominik 'cause you can only see his hair.
ANYWAYS.
was fun.

wow
ok only got to read it now..and was surprised...kinda really much suprised...but I don't think I'll make 'coz I can't draw the stuff I've got in my head...
but funny anways!

btw, had my first day of work today...it's ok, just a little weird coz it doesn't feel like "real" work, it's not hard to think, not too overly interesting, and it's not exhausting either...so it doesn't seem to me to be work...just some volunteer job somewhere I'm doing...kinda cuazy lol

and you ever heard of the movie the bucketlist?? got it on the week-end, it's good, enjoyed it. it's with morgan freeman and jack nicholsen..

was funny coz he's black and the other one's white, and nadege lately said that she had always asked herself how europeans could get enough air coz they have so small noses rofling!!!
and the contrast was really interesting so funny

ok, til soon, you small-nosey person

THE SECOND FOAL IS HERE!!! and he's soooooo tiny and though he's a dark grey now he'll turn completly black in time, with a white star on his forehead and two white socks on his hindlegs and he's soooo small and cute and shy and just... aww. chisi's SO proud of him. it's funny, she doesn't allow ANY of the horses to even come close to him, peanut gets closest, but we humans can touch him no problem. and peanut is just sooooo funny. he's a spunky one.

glad you were surprised. what say you, did I get guy!you well enough?
... the bucketlist? whatta weird name... I just came from watching "21". that movie is a piece of art. incredible. and I can understand nadege's point of view. I frequently find myself wondering the same thing, though not as much with rl people but with manga people with their teensy weency hints of a nose. I bet they'd totally suffocate if they didn't have such an incredibly big mouth. what say you, d'you thing their overly big eyes have the ability to absorb oxygen too?

*fingers her bumpy nose* don't insult my nose. it might be insulted. then it will go and appear in your dreams and insult you there.

yay glad chisi nade it! and his name will be ..???
cool that she'll let humans close

my guy version's pretty good I guess... I'm imagining some things differently, but that's ok

bucketlist, in german it's called das beste kommt zum schluss...bucketlist because it's a list of thibgs you wanna do before you hit the bucket...equivalent in german would be löffelliste (den löffel abgeben..)

would it be possible for nadege to come once to see the colts? she'd really like too...

ok, well

it does! flip. flip flip flip. fun to say, too.
and suuure they have to. poor men, they dwell in their illusion of freedom without knowing or rather, without wanting to realize we actually govern their lives

You know, I do see your drawing and characterisation improving through these memes... I like that you did this properly and actually put thought into it. And I especially like that if you and your boy!self met, you'd just walk on past each other without noticing.

and... thanks so much! you really think the memes are improving my work? I just think of them as anti-boredom measures...

I think the memes are definitely improving your drawing of facial expressions.

well, my logic to that it that I look inconspicious (apart from the tall-for-a-girl thing) and he'd look average too. no features that stand out. and no, the bumpy nose doesn't count.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Larissa-Bright In reply to 1Rusty [2008-06-14 16:32:52 +0000 UTC]

I think that's good logic - I bet most people don't think that way though. They probably make their boy self very idealised.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

1Rusty In reply to Larissa-Bright [2008-06-15 09:30:08 +0000 UTC]

very much so too. -_- plus they assume they'd actually know how they'd look like as a guy. I might just raise an eyebrow since he'd be wearing the same jacket. (I love my jacket ) but really, that'd be it. whatever. fun.

Larissa-Bright In reply to 1Rusty [2008-06-17 17:39:09 +0000 UTC]

I think it'd be pretty hard to predict what one would look like as a guy - except probably onbious things like hair colour and stuff. I guess my male self would have curlier hair than me, because if I cut my hair boy short I bet it'd go really curly. And he'd probably be pretty tall as I'm very tall for a girl, but that's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

1Rusty In reply to Larissa-Bright [2008-06-17 17:57:13 +0000 UTC]

*shrug* for me it's rather simple. I just take my already sharp features, make them a little more squarish, make the hair shorter and alter the body and, if I'd look anything like anyone else in my family I'd cross-check for similarities, but well, I don't. then I synchronize the resulting guy with the hobbies I think he's have, in this case, breakdance makes muscular. I suppose a breakdancer would also prefer contacts over glasses, but then again, I dance a LOT and still don't wear my contacts. that'd probably stay the same with me as guy.
do the meme, pleasepleaseplease. it's so much fun! and I'd love to see your version of - wait. I haven't even seen you draw yourself at all! just the photo! do you simply refrain from drawing yourself or is this just something that happened?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Larissa-Bright In reply to 1Rusty [2008-06-22 09:40:01 +0000 UTC]

All your reasoning makes sense.
Generally, I refrain from drawing myself (though there is a chibi of me and a scrap, I think, from about three years ago). It's not because I feel I'm hideous or anything, but I just don't really see the interest in drawing myself. I'd much rather draw characters, every time, because the situations I can draw them in and the people I can draw them with are just far more interesting to me than putting myself in a picture.

there are actually two chibi-yous in your scraps. hehe, funny.
and your reasoning makes perfect sense too.

1Rusty In reply to CrystalChord [2008-06-11 09:40:57 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I grew rather fond of Flip in the process of this... really a lot of fun. and he'd be just as neutral and critical of movies, especially romantic scenes, as I am and nobody would turn and stare if he rolls his eyes at a shmoozy love confession because he's a guy. if a girl groans at cliché romance she gets funny looks. and if I stay totally neutral during an action scene and throw in random statements such as "oh they switched to stuntman there" I'm written off as freak.

still, I wonder. would my man-self be as much of a disney fan? would he draw as much? would he be on dA? how much of my life is just a product of chance?

do the meme. I can really only recommend it. it's fun and - yeah. if you're like me, you'll find out more about yourself too in the process.
