Description
a little something I threw together to distract me from the big picture I'm working on - an rpg portrait for Zeph. hah, he is SO fun to draw - especially when I'm doing the base sketch with anatomy. shirtless Zeph is deelicious.*cough* anyway.
anyway, basic spin of the story... runs under the name of "Octogon", set in London 2005. a group of professional thieves (think ocean's 11) do... stuff and steal... stuff, constantly being tracked by a special division of police. I'm entering it with Jay ([link] ) on the thief side and Zeph in the police. which could make for reeeal interesting stuff.
Jay and Zeph's base story is that she is basically a promiscuous bitch, has a one night stand with him, for whom it was love at first sight, and then promptly ditches him because it never was serious for her anyway. Zeph however, doesn't get ditched so easily and he basically runs after her for more than a year until she finally grants him an official date.
eventually they get together for good and Zeph's honest, simple nature does Jay worlds of good.
I'm very curious at how all that will work in the context of the rpg! at the moment I think the game will start without them knowing each other yet, the first meeting will come sometime when our gameboss decides she wants Zeph to be distracted for some reason. result: FUN!
had a terrible time thinking up their life stories in the real word though, since, unlike Rick, they were created specifially for the fantasy-ish world of the Crew.
alright... now I'll go back to drawing birdies. *sigh*

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is the time my friends pranked me by setting up my obese halfling cleric with a prostitute Zeph doesn't happen to be an obese halfling cleric does he? As a secret identity.

.... *thinks hard*
no, I don't recall any part of him ever being an obese halfling cleric. and what exactly about this prompted that particular memory anyway? and what was the outcome of the prank?

I suppose the fact that I decided he fell in love with her. Then he proposed, her friends laughed and my cleric ate all the food supplies

Why hullo thar!
Ooh, very casual like, how he's reclining on the chair. Are those tassels on his shirt? If so, he gets 10+ cool points for being able to carry them off. Why do the policemen I see on the streets not look like this?

LOL I just noticed that, although I wanted to do this seperate from The Big Pic, I ended up putting him into the exact same pose - only looking to the other side. FAIL, nic. epic fail.
anyway, yup, those are leather fringes. realworld!zeph is a big fan of Westerns. ;D
and the policemen on the street don't look like this because, obviously, they aren't him. really.
oh and they're in uniform. let's not forget that. at least in austria, police uniforms are cut in a way that would hide even the greatest physique. most unfair.

Aww that's cute, I wondered if he might be into the Westerns! And design a new police look - why the hell not!
I now demand a picture of thief Jay!

thief Jay? later, maybe. sometime. anyway, on the street she'd just be a well-dressed laydee. I'll probably base her thief outfit on christina in "planet of the dead".
spaghetti westerns are awesome. actually, I got that idea because I've got a lot of time on my hands at the moment and started going through Karl May books - y'know, the creator of winnetou and old shatterhand (my dad inherited a complete collection of all the... 30+ books that dude wrote) and while reading I realized how well the morality conveyed in there would suit Zeph. also spawned the idea that he is very religious in his simple way.
and now I shall quit rambling.

See, reading random books always leads to great character ideas! I totally see that Zeph is religious in a simple "I believe this" kind of way. Religion is an interesting thing to play this; I've filled out memes for all my characters recently (not all posted here yet) and I appear to be sadly lacking any religious peeps.

birdies?! *ahem*
Zeph is pretty hot with a shirt already. I can only imagine what he looks like without.
