“Red it is.” She says. She begins to spin the the crystal ball until it’s flashing red.

“So how exactly does this work?” You say as you pick up your dealt hand of cards. Wait since you when were you guys playing cards?

“It alters the timeline randomly for the people in this room” Clarinda says with an accent as she pulls up her now straining top. “You picked red so I made it so it would be even more radically different.“

“Wait so were we always Asian?” Clarinda’s friend.

You giggle. She can be such a ditz. Of course you are all Asian right? Wait now you’re like really confused. You scratch your head and notice it’s full of hair. This isn’t right. But you can’t seem to remember what was right.

You ask your best friend Ada who is still pulling at her top how you’re supposed to know what’s changed. She tells you that it might be difficult to tell because some things will seem to always have been that way. But she tells you this in a different language than you’re used to. What’s weirder is you understand it though.

You eventually shrug and brush your hair and readjust your striped dress. Were you always a girl? Who knows. All you know is you have a great hand and you’re about to win this round of blackjack.
