some people were asking that I do a tutorial for my painting methods~this is just something I came up with after watching a few artists' techniques and trying some of my own, it's not professional or anything

hahaha i don't think it's something to be impressed about! i sometimes sketch if i'm having trouble, but my method generally... hm. it just looks more free if i don't sketch.

Mm I can understand that. Sometimes I have trouble focusing on the whole when I'm trying to perfect one little detail. I used to sketch slowly, but I find that sketching quickly is much more natural and makes for a better flow or something.

absolutely :3 my lines are just like, a thought process, i guess. i generally don't even have an idea in mind when i start something; however, if i do 9/10 times it is easier to create.

I would appreciate that very much! I have the unlit/unedited version here - [link] unfortunately its all on the same layer.. I tend to forget to save.. and so sai crashed on me, after I got my flat colors on I had to work with a grayed out screen shot of the piece lmfao.

LOL shading is the worst ;; I can't do it without a reference, which is probably why this turned out so badly. On top of that sai crashed, I was working with a grayed out screen shot of what I had when I finished the flat coloring LOL so I pretty much got really frustrated with it and threw everything together at the end.
That would be great tho, if you'd be so kind, I'd appreciate it ;o;

Thank you! ;u; Yeah, I commend you for your work! I've fallen so far out of practice lately I can't get anything right anymore lmao. I'm hoping that I can start taking some art classes next spring to start trying to improve my skillz.

you should try taking art classes at local art stores or something! it will save you a pretty penny from the colleges
