Earth Day Project
June 2011: Blue Whale
I was seriously going to go for a bird first, but man I really love whales~ Every time I see them I just feel so dwarfed and in awe. And their sooonnnggss are so beautiful. For some reason it always reminds me of stars and the night and space and cool things.
And seriously I cannot not mention this it makes me angry every time sob, whaling for commercial purposes ISN'T. COOL. I really don't think so many lives should be taken just for cosmetics, it's selfish and cruel.
Thank you to everyone who's suggested last month. You guys are coolbros //thumps up//

Ahh, so beautiful! I actually thought you'd go for a emperor penguin, but then again they aren't endangered.. and I'm currently slapping myself due to the fact Arctic foxes aren't in Antarctica[?!] I.. I think I need to redraw my idea before it's too late. I love the way you illustrate! I love how the child is staring at the whales and the way the colours are blended so harmoniously! Absolutely beautiful~
I can't wait for next month now, there's so many interesting creatures in South America! I hope I can keep up with this project, it's a lot of fun and I'm always eager to see what you'll be illustrating!
