Shantae games seem to follow a familiar pattern: Hometown is destroyed, adventure begins. It would probably help to keep ol’ Risky Boots tied up to prevent any further chaos.
But hey, that’s no fun… And Shantae games are surprisingly good fun! I was skeptical at first as I thought they were just an excuse to animate some jiggling girls, but there’s more to the games and eventually I started to love the characters.
I wanted to capture how up-beat the games are, especially with the lovely bright graphics and colourful characters. Give them a go if you like classic 2D platforming.
