Before any quick assumptions about the pic, yes, I chose to draw this as a response to Kevin Conroy's death, which occurred 12 days ago. For those who may not know, in the community of DC Comics fans, Kevin Conroy's well renowned for being THE quintessential voice of the Batman/ Bruce Wayne. His initial go at voicing the caped crusader started in Batman: The Animated Series (1992), and has continued on providing the voice for the role in other shows set in it's shared universe, the DCAU. Kevin would also go on to provide his voice as Batman in other DC content, such as in the Arkham games, the Injustice games, the Justice League Action series, various other Batman and DC animated films, and so much more. He's just been at it as this famous vigilante, which is why it's so sad knowing now that he's passed away. I know for a fact that besides me, he contributed in entertaining and inspiring many people in their childhoods by just his voicework alone. He not only was a fantastic actor, but he, by popular opinion which includes myself, was the best one to have portrayed the dark knight in all of DC history. Mastering everything that Batman has to offer in terms of his awesome prowess, his charm, and his sentimentality.

In my way of commemorating Conroy, I chose to simply draw Batman from the DCAU, more specifically from The Justice League animated series and Justice League: Unlimited. I was always fond of this Batman design compared to previous ones in this universe due to how sleek and refined it looks. Heck, in the JL epsiode "Wild Cards", even Joker referred to his fashion sense as being "chic", so that has to count for something . I originally had many other ideas of commemorative artwork for Conroy with the incorporation of the DCAU, most of these ideas being really somber. However, I sadly needed to make this post quickly due to there being a few requests I have in the works that were postponed just so I can honor this great man. Plus, I thought it best to make the pic more neutral, just so it wouldn't solely be tied to real-life death and sadness. I'd rather contribute in keeping Kevin's legacy alive by drawing his famous role contemporarily. It's the least I could do considering the unexpected time of Kevin's death, along with the other tasks I have to get back to. So apologies to all of you for this pic's simplicity. But I do hope it looks good regardless .
