The Story of Yukio:

September 4, 2015: When Yukio was a baby he was lavished in love by two care taking female parents, Aiko and Natsuko. Having claimed their home in the Tundra near the borders of Dysania the pair understood the risks but thought it best with their skills as gem traders to live there. They could make a living selling to the rich visitors rare gems who wished to visit the hot springs as souvenirs. The couple spoiled Yukio teaching the baby boy what they could of surviving and all that nature had to offer--- however their happy life was cut off short. In a night of trading alone Natsuko went missing causing panic for the left at home mother, Aiko and tiny Yukio. Natsuko had always came home before dark having heard stories of Dysania and its sad fate. Thinking it best to look for Nat' Aiko picked up the tiny Yuiko and set for her sort mission to find her mate.

Hearing words from the locals the worst situation was to come... Natsuko had ventured into Dysania to trade precious gems with one of the wealthy enchanted thinking it would be alright if she went quickly. At the border of the Tundra and Dysania Aiko plotted -- making a small sturdy hut to hide Yukio and stash him away. Telling the tiny babe she'd return with his mother as soon as possible! Aiko departed urgently and Yukio waited patiently for many hours.... that turned into days. Near starvation with life practically leaving him a lucky by-passer stopped to inspect the odd hut surprised to find the tiny kami.

With no parents to return or understanding yet that they had perished to Dysania the by-passer took Yukio in pity questioning what to do. The logical answer for the savior? Take the boy to Shibai, a plentiful place of Kami, which hopes someone would adopt him. Upon getting to Shibai they did just that -- dump the poor baby in a cave and supplied him with all he would need wishing for the best. There Yukio managed to live alone -- often going out to the meadows and caves to cry for his mothers and ask the other kami's to help look for them.

With no help what so ever - Yukio grew fashioning himself in the darkness keeping to himself. The child's personality became reserved and extremely judgmental... bordering cruel sarcastic. He had little friends (a few bugs) and could not relate to the happy playfulness of other Kami's his age. He strives to grow up strong and independent - one day with hopes to leave Shibai and travel the world as a lone warrior.

Adolescence

Update 1.10.16: With his prayers answered the boy by chance ran across the extremely arrogant and proud Drakei. Taking pity upon the boy he older Kamishiba decided to watch and see the boys worth -- to his own surprised Yukio passed Drakeis observation and became his loyal apprentice. A strong loyalty was formed for the new master seeing him then as a family figure Yukio would do anything for. He followed Drakei wherever he permit him spending much of his childhood under the elders wing. With a need to match his masters personality and over all badassness the child spent many moons learning all that he could.

Over time Yukio became a superb fighting opponent following the way of the Rogue. His weapons of choice became fist and claw, the staff, one-handed swords, daggers, fist weapons, ninja stars and suitable poisons of paralysis. However something dark grew inside the boy to far excel his master with the on coming of a rival. Upon meeting a young boy, Hanini, at a party the pair broke off into a horrible fight wishing death upon one another. For Hanini himself was a growing fighter who's mother had danced with an Enchanted Kamishiba that Yukio so knowingly hated. By calling the other boys mother an 'Enchanted Lover' a great brawl broke out causing Yukio's own master to break it up before much damage ensued.

Declaring Hanini his most hated enemy the pair swore they would one day out match the other and slay the weaker. A strong hate grew enforcing Yukio's desire to become an even better fighter swearing he would kill any better than he other than his beloved master, Drakei. Over time Yukio did in fact grow into a handsome young kamishiba with a dark evil in his heart harboring a style of the Rogue 'Ninja'. Very little stands in this dark boys way, and none dare to challenge him unless wishing their life away.

Stealing the Orbs & the Death of Yukio

Update: 6.23.17: In the coming years Yukio learned well from Drakei picking up more siblings than he had expected. Learning not only the ways of a warrior, but how to be a family as well. This growth of the clan freed him not of his unearthly desire to defeat Hanini. In time coming across the boy in many occasions to come out empty handed or at a stale mate. To which in their final meeting finally being knocked down by the blue samuri infront of his adopted sister. This fed the fuel of anger loosing the already limited respect in his 'sister' pushing him to the final limit. At the same time the world plunged into chaos. The portal had broken resulting in the world of kamishiba to be searched again.

Like many other battles Yukio followed Drakei to seek out answers. One being the forgotten ruins of the Rose Village. Searching for any signs or clues he escaped to the library accidently running across a book mysteriously left in its prime. Unvealing some secrets he learned of the Light Orbs and their power, thus deciding then his fate. Fortune was in his favor knowing well were he could find 3 automatically. Breaking off from his family the boy ventured.

The first orb was the easiest, he traveled to Sunset Seaside. Stealing from Hanini's own mother Aluna while she was away with Gloriana at the beach. The second was near but harder to obtain, acquiring passage upon a pirates ship. Yukio managed to trick a deckhand named Michiko to tell him where her Captain had kept the newly squired prize. The third light orb being the worst. In the hands of Sandsnakes back in Thundra Yukio roamed taking sights upon the violent Alexstraza. Believing he would steal it quietly went out in the air when Traza managed to catch him. A battle ensued but by the cover of night he slipped away to finally merge the light orbs.

Thus causing another rift to be unleashed much like that of 'The Book of Shadows'. Bring the orbs together was the death of him, screaming into the rift his greatest desire for a strength unknown to these worldly kamishiba. In a flash the rift stole him: twisting and tearing - destroying and merging into a being yet to come.

Birth of Pagan

Just as the flashing rift that stole Yukio from this world weeks prior it had returned. To be seen for miles in ab right orange scraping into the desolate land of Thundra in the midst of night. With a crack noise much like thunder to be swallowed up from onest it came leaving its new begotten monster. An illegal stretched upon the ground like a new hatched egg, eyes blurred and glowing adjusting to the new world. Nails crack stretching, tail whips uncontrollably before getting a hold of ones self. Freedom, a terrible glorious freedom made to match with a throbbing headache of the centuries. Flickering memories not belonging, though true to them. A previous life now merged as one. They whisper, "Hanini...." uplifting from the sands against moonlight a figure sands behind them. To its back a cave oddly familiar that is guarded by a red male, Drakei. "Yukio?!? Is..is that you?" ---- The steel whip shines brightly in a gleam, feline eye moves to the corner to peer at the approached. "Pagan... I am Pagan.."

Pagan is virtually a mysterious night walker who prefers to keep to themselves. Training in the midst of night or hunting out an target from a job they can be worked with in a civil manner. Despite their erratically crazy and lethal disposition, Pagan is extremely well versed when they wish to be. Intelligence to get what they want from who they want even if considered an ally. Clearly not being the 'snugly' type, Pagan does approve of small form of affection to prove appreciation. Small tokens such as sake, spicy food, rumors of where/how/who or anything dealing with Hanini, and brushing their back provides positive kamishiba 'tolerates' to be considered more of a 'friend'.

Hanini , the target. 'You are the reason for my birth, and I love to hate you.' Despite remembering no others, with the exclusion of Drakei, Pagan knows this kamishiba. They were called from the strongest desire of passionate hate to defeat and kill. How it is humorous to know a face they have never met and find it terribly attractive, finding it a shame they will have to rip it off. Yet knowing this face leaves them without a clue in how to find them or where they are at. Who they are attached too and what they had done to inspire this deepest wish of death. Nonetheless, to appease they soul they had fused with to obtained this body Pagan has made a full dedication to ruin this kamishiba's life. Be warned to those Hanini is associated with - they are all in danger.

Drakei , the forgotten father. Remembering only pieces of this kamishiba and a needed alliance or acceptance from - Pagan subtly approves of this kamishiba in strength and appearance *winkwink*. Despite wanting to abolish all flickering memories left over from Yukio, this is one red male is ingrained in to the metal demon to not hurt. They can tell how uneasy Drakei feels around them and rather enjoys it, especially the heinous idea that they might chop their beard off. If all else - this male will be useful to tell them of the world and where to find their charge.

Gutrope , the Death Walker. Not much is known of this kamishiba, but not that it matters. Pagan approved of this walking war machine from the very moment they layed eyes on them. Wrapped in dusted leather, rusted iron spikes, eyes of the burning sun with a mask of a demon.. what was there not to like? A mutual desert drifter, they trade poisons and valuable items. When times are in dire straits they can be found working together dropping bodies to the floor, moving like a plague over the heated sands.

Mephistopheles , the untrusted. Despite being a 'tolerated' Pagan relatively does not know how to feel about this kamishiba. They are an illegal like themselves unyet an enchanted which conflicts with their previous joined soul often, who absolutely hated enchanteds. Uncertainty lies in the future on which proper placement this being will go in the terms of Pagan, a possible tolerable ally to trade with? Or a new enemy to wag war. Nonetheless for now the two kamishiba's both play a high interest in each other treading on 'spider' strings lightly.

Faron , neutral. Pagan is not close whatsoever with this delicious looking kamishiba, but finds them place in the trading realm. When meeting they can be found talking deeply of newly discovered poisons, hypotheses, or sipping Faron's deadly coffee trading wares.

Sov , the jeweler. More or less Pagan considers this kamishiba alright, even in the catagory of a 'friend'. This may seem off to most considering how much of a violent sociopath Pagan is yet Sov holds much worth to the metal demon. Finding them to be the only crafted specialist that is permitted to work on their metal gravity tail. Pagan is also quite intrigued by Sov's 'giant hole gauge' earring.

Flicker , craft project. Pagan had enjoyed hearing how this innocent child has suffered from friends, family, their whole village. Cast out and deserted - practically wished to be dead at birth. It sounds like a lullaby to Pagan and so the metal demon has fashioned this child into a sort of 'craft project'. 'Adopting' the child to mold their weakness into pure and utter lethal carnage - along the way exploiting this child to do terrible but amazing things of the secret magics of Aurora land. Rumors by locals have it that the child actually likes it in the demons care - often found being carried in Pagan's back mane nestled up. Their brown tiny eyes peeking out from the fur as the last thing victims of Pagan see.

It is a complete mystery as to what exact gender/sex Pagan is. Their androgynous look and voice makes it hard to pinpoint and thus leaves it at that. Believing a true warrior needs not sexuality or gender ties to define them for their skill and execution. Due to this they are on an even plain without judgement to bring forth the best battles from other, so they believe. Given their previous soul part was of a young male it is at times they can be called 'he' 'him' 'his' by those previous associated with, and at others to their wish 'she' or 'her'. To get in better terms with Pagan it is best to just call them by their name or use the terms 'theirs' 'they' 'them' 'the illegal'. Not to mention that lethal silver chain tail and claws...

gender explained
It is a complete mystery as to what exact gender/sex Pagan is. Their androgynous look and voice makes it hard to pinpoint and thus leaves it at that. Believing a true warrior needs not sexuality or gender ties to define them for their skill and execution. Due to this they are on an even plain without judgement to bring forth the best battles from other, so they believe. Given their previous soul part was of a young male it is at times they can be called 'he' 'him' 'his' by those previous associated with, and at others to their wish 'she' or 'her'. To get in better terms with Pagan it is best to just call them by their name or use the terms 'theirs' 'they' 'them' 'the illegal'. In due time Pagan might reveal what they are... but highly unlikely.
