Why don't you have them take a class on self-defense? They could get a bit overconfident after just a few lessons, organize an "anti-crime" squad, and get into a lot of trouble trying to stop muggings, etc., while wearing skimpy costumes! The girls could find out the hard way that a few rudimentary martial arts lessons will not enable somebody to stop a street tough. Say one girl encounters a mugger, tries to stop him, and winds up getting KOed and captured. Some of the other girls go look for her, have an altercation with more gang members, and get knocked out themselves! That might be a fun scenario!
