"I'm sure everyone here knows about copyright laws and how you can't use things without giving credit where credit is due and such. Well, Bill S.978 plans on changing that -you can't use the material full stop without permission directly from its owner.

That means no fanart of Disney movies without permission.
No fanarts without permission, period.

No OCs for warrior cats without permission.
No OCs without permission, period.

None.

That doesn't sound fun at all, does it? Now, as far as I'm aware this is only happening in America but it will affect anyone who uses dA - all the fan bases will be gone, fanart, fanfiction, you name it. Poof! Up in smoke and whisked away. This'll affect youtubers as well - no posting music, music covers, movies, game walkthroughs. None of it.

And the worst part? The harshest charge could be up to 5 years in jail. 5 years in jail for drawing a picture. Anyone else thinking they've lost it? And it's not like we can go out and get permission from Disney, Pixar, Fox Kids etc willy nilly. They'll be way to busy working on they're insanely epic movies and stuff to reply to the masses of e-mails they would be bound to recieve."

That's probably the most f*cked up potential law I've ever heard. Spread the word!
