It must have meant something to somebody at the time. I am a big fan of graffiti art but I have never seen it on slate before.

Yeah, it must of meant something, I'd love to know what it's all about but I highly doubt I'll ever find out. I like to think it's watching over for people in the quarry, walkers, climbers etc. A kind of lucky charm if you like

Yeah, we'll never know. I like that some art lets us imagine what it means and doesn't impose meaning on the viewer. Sometimes things have no reason or meaning but that's just my opinion. I like randomness and chaos.
