I have to say i love walking around the old streets of Shrewsbury at night.
Don't do it so much these days, but use to do it allot a few years back.
- I love the 'victorianness' to it, cobbled streets and slightly sinister ill-lit streets and alleys, which were fantastic to explore.

Yeah, i completely agree. I love the sinister feeling to these back alleys too and the less they are lit the more appealing they are because you wonder why they aren't lit better, are they hiding something?

This actually reminds me quite a bit of the movie of Oliver Twist.

Oh, really! Shrewsbury is a very old town so there is lots to photograph. You should do the same in your town because it is always good to have pictures of the place where you came from so you can look back and see if it has changed in the future.
