A Visual Guide to ProjectComment ,For a full, literary guide to ProjectComment , please click here: ProjectComment InformationProjectComment has been an active group since 2009 to give you the constructive comments you deserve!
We have many projects that encourage our awesome members to give comments and get comments. These projects involve workshops, features, chat events, contests and, more importantly, systems that rely on interchange, inclusion and interaction.
To both give and get comments is no easy task, but, with the many projects that we have here, we hope that you find something that works best for you. If not, why not make a suggestion by noting us?
Additionally, if you have any questions or anything else at all, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Our Values
Our awesome admins and members give comments and get comments with the following values in mind:
Interchange
…to restore balance – comment for comment, positive and negative, give and take.
Inclusion
…to accept all
Where you start and what you do in ProjectComment is entirely up to you!
We don't ask our members to comment 24/7. We understand that life is busy, especially when it takes time, effort and more to give and get constructive comments.
If you're not sure where to start or what to do, follow the chart above!

You're losing me...In simple steps and words...How to I get people's opinion on my Art? I give a comment? Ok but where? Deviation on Projectcomment or any deviation and post in somewhere on Projectcomment? I don't quite get how the system works...didn't expect it to be this complex...

Basically, we encourage people to give and get comments through our projects. Each project has its own guidelines. A lot of people just want to submit to our gallery for constructive comments, which is fine. If you want to do that, please comment on a deviation in the gallery and link us to the deviation you commented so we know!
A constructive comment is a minimum of 200 words, which is around 6-7 lines. 7+ lines is closer to 400+ words.

I have a question.
If it's not fair that other people don't get comments, I don't get either. So how do I get people to comment on my profile more? Comment on others profiles?

As a group, we believe reciprocity counts for a lot, so if you want to get something, then you must first give it, if that makes sense.
That's not to say that you'll be guaranteed things. If you comment on 5 profiles, it's not guaranteed that you'll get 5 comments on your profile.
I guess the main thing is that if you genuinely want to support others, then people will come to genuinely support you.

I have one question!!
If an artist is asking for a critique, would that critique of yours be counted as a comment that is over 200 words if it does exceed 200 words?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
3wyl In reply to SolarFoofy [2016-12-19 11:58:59 +0000 UTC]
Yes - we accept critiques. The main thing is that it is a critique on a piece in the gallery, if you are submitting to the gallery yourself.

HI i just got invited and think i get most of what's going on but i have a few questions;
do i only comment on things i find in the gallery here or that people comment on the group page or journals?
and do i just have to mention ProjectComment in the comment?
and if i want comments on something i drop it in one of the journals/group page/submit it to the gallery?
thanks for the invite though! i've been thinking about joining for a while <:

3wyl In reply to BabanIllustration [2016-12-15 00:37:25 +0000 UTC]
Sure!
If you would like to submit to our gallery, please comment on pieces in our gallery. We do host projects in journals, but each project has its own guidelines/rules with more information.
If you could let the artist know how you found their piece, that would be great. If you want to submit to our gallery, please link us to the comment on our group page (or notes) so we know that you have commented.
I hope that helps? If not, let me know!

i dont comment often cause im always used to youtube "everyone has under 1000 subs so not many people would start a flame war about me." but this website is a whole different community. one slight messup and i'll be the most hated person here. sorry i cant comment often guys.

Yes, I would say that this community is quite different to youtube's community.
You don't have to comment often. The good thing with ProjectComment is that most people are actually open to receiving constructive comments - it's why people join.

Okay, wait...
So comments have to be at least 200 words?
And then we comment the link on the front page?
I'm slightly confuzzled. ;-;

3wyl In reply to Emmagics [2016-11-30 00:41:28 +0000 UTC]
Yes, if you would like to submit to our gallery, please comment on a piece in our gallery, 200 words minimum (for pieces in the 6-7 line folders), and then link to your comment/deviation you commented on on our front page.

VanillaSnuggleMonk In reply to Emmagics [2016-11-29 12:53:03 +0000 UTC]
No, I think that's only if you're trying to do the give and receive comments. Your comments can be as short as sweet as possible. Besides, sometimes "Ah, soo pretty" is better than using 200 words to explain why

Emmagics In reply to VanillaSnuggleMonk [2016-11-29 21:46:01 +0000 UTC]
I think so too.
Before I was invited I would usually say a piece was cool and include something specific, like details or coloring.
I'll probably just stick with that. Thanks!
Also, do we comment the link to the piece on front page?

3wyl In reply to ChickenyMaria [2016-11-28 00:27:51 +0000 UTC]
If you have no intention of getting comments yourself, you can comment however you like. It is only when you would like to get comments that we ask you to give a minimum, so that it is fair for everyone.

My gosh this is a lot to take in! XD but thanks to whoever it as who nvited me! glad to be welcomed in a group like this. I just hope I don't make any mistakes when doing the giving/receiving thing..
I know this is probably a really repetitive question, but where should we let you/any other leaders know which deviation we commented on? the front page?

3wyl In reply to donutnerd [2016-11-12 18:52:30 +0000 UTC]
You don't have to take it all in right this minute! Bit by bit might work best.
If you do make mistakes, no worries at all! We're fine with that and we're happy to help.
The front page would work perfectly, thank you!

If you accept the invitation, you will become a member of the group. You're not obligated to do anything, but if you are a member, you will be able to submit your artwork to our gallery, and do other things as well.
In this group, we encourage people to give and get comments through our projects.
That should answer your questions.
